[Back in her room, Chie decides to use the journal to properly introduce herself. She's been in the castle for a week now. She's still not 100% comfortable in the castle, but with three people she knows from back home in here, she is starting to feel more at home]

Uh, hi everyone. I'm Chie Satonaka! I- aha, I've only been here for a week and it's still weird waking up every morning in some castle. It's like I got suddenly transported to a network TV show. But it's cool that I could just wish for anything I want! And I have people from back home here with me, like Rise-chan and Yukiko. [Poor girl, still not aware her best friend just left]

Nanako-chan? Yukiko just told me you're here. Where are you?

Well, peoples imaginations hold no limits. It stands to reason there would be worlds there, I suppose. How is your travel to these worlds achieved?

Oh no, please don't call me sir! Really no need. Well, most call me 'Doctor'. It's the better of names I've been given.

[Chie paused for a bit, thinking how easy it was to tell people about their little secret. But this isn't Inaba. And they forget everything they learn in Paradisa once they go back, so why not tell the guy? It wasn't hard, there was just a bit of an awkward feeling to freely spill things like the Midnight Channel to a complete stranger]

We enter TVs. But we always get in a specific TV, because it leads to the same spot in the other world all the time. It's pretty neat.

And Doctor it is! That's a cool name now that I think about it. Like a TV hero or something. The Doctor! [Chie giggled after enunciating the name]

[And that is not the answer he was expecting. Nope.] ...It sounds very clever actually, Chie. I was expecting you to say something quite different though.

[That does get a laugh from him also.] Thank you. I think.

You've found out you can wish for things I see. Have you been having fun with that?

[Chie giggles] Yeah! I've been wishing for the same stuff I used to own. My room here is slowly looking like my room from back home! I find that you have to be specific or else you get the wrong thing, or not get anything at all.

[Then Chie thought for a second about what the Doctor said about expecting a different answer, so she thought about asking] You mentioned expecting something different. What do you mean by that?

Well, telepathy, astral projection, or something similar to that actually. Given that you said you travelled and never stayed and worlds made of people's minds.

You're decorating your room?

Yep! I got nothing better to do besides exercise.

Yes, keeping busy here could have its difficulties. I've been wandering around myself, learning all I can.

I've not thought about decorating my own room. [It is exactly as it was when he first arrived. He doesn't actually need the room, except of course that he can't yet get the TARDIS to move out of it.]

It's something to do while you're here. Time flies really fast when I do it. And learning about this place wouldn't be a bad idea... It's pretty mysterious.

I've been so focused on exploring the castle and meeting people that the idea hadn't occured to me. Now that I think on it, I'm not sure that decorating the room I was alloted is a good idea.

Mysterious is a word you could use. Have you done much exploring yourself yet?

Not really. From what I see it's just a regular castle with a little magic... I've heard about the place called the "Dead Zone" though, that place sounds scary, but at the same time I want to explore it.

More than just a little magic I think. I would like to see the Dead Zone also. From what I can gather, expeditions have been made out to there before.

Wow, I kind of want to go on an expedition. After what happened last year, the normal life seems kind of boring now...

[His eyebrows go up at that. He can certainly relate. But he is not going to let himself brood on what he did leave behind. There's nothing he can do about it here at Paradisa and what is done, is done.]

I'm not sure this is normal life and I have to say that I empathise with you there. Do you mind if I ask what happened last year?

[It's weird, but she feels the Doctor is one of the few people who would buy the concept of the Midnight Channel]

Well, remember that thing I said about the TV world? My friends and I realized that that world was connected to the recent string of murders going around town! So whenever we find out someone is going to get thrown inside the TV without their consent, my friends and I rescue them with the help of our Personas.

[He's seen a few things in his time. The Midnight Channel would likely not be the strangest or the most grisly He's quiet a moment before responding.]

It's good to know that you are trying to make things better there, but it sounds like it could be rather dangerous for you and your friends.

[pint_sized_carnivore]

Yeah. But the thought of saving people, and the thought that we're there for each other no matter what, that's what kept us going. We couldn't allow some killer to keep using the Midnight Channel to kill people and always get away from the police because of it. I couldn't do that... [A hint of courage and faith in her friends can be heard in Chie's tone]

[And he hears that in her voice. It's refreshing that he's found someone sure and selfless, with a want to do the right thing. He is dismayed that Chie and her friends have the need to do that at all, though.]

I think that you and your friends are very brave, Chie. No one should turn a blind eye and let things just happen, not when there are those who wish others harm; they should be stopped. I would do the same.

That's what I kept telling myself whenever I feel some doubt in me... I really hope this castle doesn't have anything as bad as the Midnight Channel.

Oh, and I heard there's a maze in the castle called the Insolidus or something. That could be something that would interest you, Doctor.

[From what he's heard already, he's hoping so too but not holding much faith in it.]

Insolitus. It means: strange, unusual. I've seen the door. Poked my head in but I haven't explored it myself yet.

Do you want to? I'll go with you, Doc.

[He's smiling broadly at that.] How could I refuse that offer? Although a maze you said, it might be an idea to speak with someone who has explored it before. Not that there is anything wrong with my sense of direction.

I don't know anyone else who has been there before. Finding ourselves a tour guide would be the first step to this adventure!

Ah, yes, a good idea. I suppose I meant in the general, in case of surprises. [Because taking a young lady down there when he's not sure what's there himself, he wouldn't want to put Chie in danger or risk accidents.]

Perhaps between us we might ask around and see what happens.
