Kara, Tim, Cass. Things are good. Things are actually pretty great.

You know what? For now, I'll be grateful. It was pretty lonely there, for a while. But don't think I don't know how easily the rug can be pulled from under my feet.

And now I'm at the point where I'm talking to the freakin' castle. Let's save that for year four, okay?

Hey, have a moment to talk business?

A BFF for Christmas, a boyfriend for the new year, and another best friend for Easter, I guess. My days of having nothing to do are long gone. Some days I even have to get out of my pajamas.

Suddenly lively social life aside, I've been trying to make those confetti eggs--harder than you'd think. Eggs are surprisingly fragile when you wanna keep them mostly intact. Let's not even get started on cleaning out the inside. Guess I could just ask the castle for a bunch, but where's the fun in that, right?

Any more people and he'd have to be Alvin, not Tim. It's a matter of trust.

I don't know if he has a specific place in mind, yet. It's all pretty tentative at this point.

Oh, I guess that makes sense. What about Ezio? He knows, doesn't he? And he's plenty capable.

[She sucks in some air through her teeth.]

Yeaaah, about that... Tim isn't the biggest fan of Ezio.

Neither are half my friends, but they don't know him that well, either. Maybe it would be a good experience for them to bond? Or they can just ignore each other the whole time, I'm sure Ezio will behave if told to.

It was an uphill battle to get him to agree to our double date, whenever that goes down. He's met Ezio in person, and talked to him a few times--the last time being when Cass arrived. It didn't go well.

A camping trip is something we'd need maybe... five years to work up to.

[pls, like Tim would allow the PDA.]

Well, I guess I can ask Ezio to house sit for me... He'll probably be really insulted, though.

I know. I feel terrible about it. He'd be a great addition, and he's been pretty restless...

[Grr.]

I can try to talk to Tim about it again.

Go for it, but it's probably good not to push too hard this soon. Ezio will probably have to change Tim's mind himself, and maybe the double-date will help with that.

I really hope so.

Does he have a date in mind?

For the trip? Sometime after this snow goes away.

For the double date? That's up to us, because Mr. Enthusiasm probably hopes we forget.

Well, keep me posted so I know to warn my staff.

And I think he's going to be horribly disappointed by our memories working.

To Ezio's credit, he's been much more open to the idea of being friendly with Tim than Tim has with him. We just... have a lot of issues with assassins, in Gotham. [And, you know. Moral code.] Plus, Tim's a little more reserved, so... differing personalities doesn't make it easier.

It's not like I don't have issues with assassins. But I don't think Ezio should be painted as a complete rogue, either. He is fighting for what's right, and only taking out those who are too corrupt. People like Lex Luthor.

I know. And I've tried to explain that to Tim, but he has our code ingrained in his DNA by now.

Yeah. Bruce's influence.

[Sometimes she wonders what Bruce would do, if he saw her now.

Probably toss her suit into a fire, symbol and all. Sigh.]

I wouldn't worry too much. Everyone has to adapt to certain things to be able to survive here, which also means being a little more open-minded in who you make friends with.

Eventually, I'm sure they'll find something to bond over. Men have their own way of working things out. [ Unless their name is Lex and anyone else ever. ]

That's the hope. Tim's worked with assassins before, so there's a chance he'll relent eventually.

They both like to climb.

So send them mountain climbing. We've got plenty around here. Nothing would build trust faster, I'll bet, than having to watch each other's backs on a steep mountain.

Tim would have an aneurism. He'd be trying to plan the climb out carefully, with the proper equipment and all the safety he could muster, and Ezio would be like [this is where she does a bad Italian accent] "I do not need such things, I climb with just my hands in my time! Like a real man!" and chaos would ensue. Potentially broken bones, too.

[ Lana has to bite her lip at the accent, but she doesn't interrupt with a laugh because it's too funny to ruin until she's through. ]

Maybe Tim shouldn't worry so much about controlling everything. Ezio...is kind of a caveman when it comes to man stuff, so I don't think anyone can sway him when it comes to that, but Tim should know better.

[ Basically called Ezio a little dumb oh well moving on. ]

He should, and he does, but Ezio can press buttons. We'll just have to make sure they have a good time at dinner.

It's true, Ezio sometimes shows tendencies of a bully.

[ Gosh, suddenly drawing parallels back to when Whitney and Clark had so much conflict. Clark was indeed the more intelligent geeky type, at least back then, and Whitney was...most certainly being a bully. But that's because he was jealous.

Lana makes an absent 'Hm' noise, not saying anything again for awhile. Then ]

Right, well, we'll just find somewhere neither of them can complain about the food. And I'll try to talk Ezio into a suit, so Tim can not see him as just an Assassin for an hour or two.

Like a frat boy.

[An hour or two of Tim and Ezio... god have mercy.]

That would probably help. They're bound to behave with us there, too. Or else they have to deal with the consequences for being buttheads.
