It never ceases to amaze me with what people get to write, and what gets made into books. Some things just seem downright treasonous, but they still get bound, and bought, and read by lots of people.

I'm a little jealous to be frank. At home it could be pretty tough to get hold of books and things. Some of my friends couldn't even read so having books would have been moot.

[Rin is in the library today, which is not very surprising: the library is a good place to try and find her. Tad the Arcanine is hanging around lolling under tables and in front of chairs as she reads. Just now, she seems to be slipping a book into her carryall: the curious might get enough of a glimpse to see that she's making off with The Anarchist's Cookbook.

Wwe start off as larvva, an' make a cocoon after wwe hatch. Then once it pupates wwe come out wwith limbs. Sea dwwellers are distinct from all the others cause wwe have gills an' purple blood.

But your gills don't shrivel up and fall off when you hit a certain age, right? Or people who live on land don't up and grow them, so you don't really change like that. How unusual.

Yeah, I can see how you're so well prepared to play nicely with others and be really popular with all your friends. "My great-great-great-granddad killed so many people they called him the orphaner!" That's like the exact opposite of an ice-breaker.

Though being amphibious is pretty cool.

Anyway, the other trolls here seem like they have their heads on straight to me, at least Aradia and Nepeta do. [She doesn't know most of the others well enough to say... except perhaps Karkat, but Karkat is a special case.] So maybe if they're not flipping there shit, they have their own good reasons for it. I don't think senseless violence is so great anyway, I don't care if you're human or an alien.

[As he says this, he also pushes himself away from the table and gets up, but just to pick up the book he had knocked over. Leave or stay, he's not going to react, just sit down and go back to reading.]
