So, where's a good place a guy can hold a party around here? I need to know for reasons.

OK, those reasons being it was my birthday yesterday. Yeah, I was Mom's little April Fool. I didn't mention it because I didn't want to end up singing it out, and I don't think anybody would have believed me anyway.

So back to my question. Party. I'd like to hold it this weekend, in fact, if it's not too short of notice.

A birthday party, as I said. I'm throwing it for myself, but it'd be a great way to mingle.

Perhaps the ballroom would suffice? It is spacious, with a great deal of natural light...

I have the feeling that kind of thing's going to happen a lot, eh? The place spoiling my plans, I mean. Such is life.

Perhaps next year you can plan to have the festivities a day or so in advance, like some people with birthdays on other holidays do.

In most places that's considered inconvenient, but around here it's probably a necessity, huh? Minimizes the risk of damage and interruptions. Never thought of it that way.

Depends what type of party you want. We have a couple bars here in the castle, some nice restaurants in town. I bet nobody's touched it in a while, but there's an outdoor stage if you want to have it outside. Hard Harry would jump at the chance to DJ something like that.

Hey, the bar doesn't sound too bad, either. Small, intimate party with lots of alcohol.

But a DJed party sounds like a fantastic idea, too...

Guess it depends if you want a small party or a big one. I mean, there's no reason you can't have one now and then think of an excuse for another one later on down, you know.
