[ Lee clears his throat twice before he starts. Sure, he's fine lecturing to a classroom full of university students, but addressing a castle full of strangers via magic book is a different monster entirely. ]

Heard a lot of talk about people looking for ways out - trying to figure out how to get home.

[ How much is okay to share? How much does he even feel like divulging? Carefully, he continues: ]

What about the people who want to stay here? Think there's a shot at that?

She saved me once and made sure I was well. I would say she is very important to me.

-- good. I'm glad to know she's got people like that here.

You must have meant to say, you are glad I found someone like her.

[ .. alright. That gets a laugh out of him. ]

She's a special girl. You're not wrong.

[ He returns the chuckle too! ]

So you would then. You would stay here with her given the choice?

Can't lie: I've heard some bad things about this place. But even with all that, I'd take the castle for her over what she's got back at home any day.

The walkers?

She told you about those?

Only briefly. She didn't like talking about them.

I don't blame her. She's been through a lot. -- but if there are any questions you want to ask..

I could ask why you've been so kind as to take her under your care.

[ The answer doesn't take thought, isn't forced. It's simply- ]

She needed someone. I couldn't just keep walking.

[ They are more similar than he thought then. ]

We can only make the choices given us.

[ He's okay with that. ]

.. nah. Might seem like it to an outsider, but there was never any choice there at all.

[ That's just depressing to him... ]

You could have turned away.

[ He's not sure how to impress his point without feeling sort of .. cheesy. ]

Maybe someone else could've. That's all I'm sayin'.

[ He won't push it! ]
