From what I've seen and observed on the network and in person, I think the majority of people who need medical aid or are trapped have thankfully been attended to. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the state of the city. Reminds me of what happened to the city I'm from, back home. It got hit by a huge Earthquake and it took years for it to recover.

Unlike back home, there are a lot of different people here, with a lot of different skills. Once people have had time to rest up and recover, would anyone be interested in putting together a habitat recovery team? Many of the citizens in the city are in need of supplies, too.

Hey, how are you holding up? I haven't had a chance to check out the store yet, have you? I'm going to head out there in a couple of hours.

[Filter to Kara, Cass, and Steph.]

Looks like another expedition is being planned. At this point, with my injuries, I'd only hold everyone back. Steph and Cass, the two of you should go on the expedition and collect as much information as you can.

Kara, will you stay here with me and help me with aiding the citizens and cleaning up the city?

Weird animals. Last time I went out there, we got attacked by dinosaurs. Another time, giant spiders.

For some reason, I suddenly find myself not minding how long the expedition is going to be...

Would you mind keeping an eye over my friend, Once? He doesn't get out much, and he's going on the expedition with a family member of his who is 12 years old.

Sure. [Would rather be doing other things with his time, but he knows Lulu is important to Steph. And apparently is becoming important to Cass.]

I take it the two of you are getting along well?

Yes. Making lots of friends.

[Which is kind of a whole new world for Cass since her only friends for the last year were Bruce and Stephanie and one of them had been dead for the last few months of that time.]

Bruce would... probably be happy. Right?

That depends. Who do you consider to be your friends here?

Lots of people... helped with reading. Or offered to. Too soon to know... who is friend yet, though.

[The magic of conversing over the journal is Cass doesn't realize he's fishing here, she's just answering honestly. Honestly, she doesn't know why anyone would want to be friends with her. She's creepy and she can't talk well, so she doesn't really expect friendships to last long. She'll end up with people that she knows, she thinks, but the only ones she can call friends now are Stephanie and Tim. Maybe others will come later, but she isn't holding her breath.]

There are people here who seem trustworthy at first, but it's important to be mindful. The nature of the castle often conceals people's true thoughts and motives. There are people here who would easily hurt, maim, and kill others, if the castle allowed for it to be permanent. However, since it's not they play nice.

[In Tim's eyes, having intention in ones heart, can be equally as damning as taking action.]

I know, but that doesn't mean certain things will come up. Sometimes it's a matter of asking the right question.

Anyway, how are your ribs treating you? Feeling better?

Feel fine. Bed rest is dumb.

I'm around in the castle. Do you need anything? I can stop by and drop it off.
