Hmm? [He tilts his head] Now that I think about it...Oh! Did you help out in the town?

I sure did. And, if I were to guess...

[Holds her chin in her hand, and smiles at him]

...you would be Mister Reality Check. Your name's Zelos... Wilder, right? It's me, Tenjou - we talked a bit about the town over the journals.

Ahaha, you got me in one guess!

[He'll smile though- she's as pretty as her voice sounded!]

Yeah, just Tenjou I remember you! It's a pleasure meeting you in person, my dear!

[That flirty compliment sets her on edge - sorry, Zelos, but right now you remind her just a little bit too much of some guys she knew back home. She doesn't back off, but she does straighten up, her posture getting a bit stiffer]

It's nice meeting you, too, but let's not get too friendly, alright?. I mean, you seem like a nice guy and all, don't get me wrong, but I'm just here for the expedition.

[Oh wow, been awhile since he's encountered someone who stiffened up that much about it]

Whoa- hey! I didn't mean anything by it! Don't worry- I just want to explore too!

Alright, alright. Sorry, I just didn't want to give the wrong impression, you know? There's some guys who - well, they don't really know when to quit. Anyway... [relaxes a bit] Like you said, you're here to explore too, right? Is this your first time on one of these trips, or is this old hat to you?

Ahahaha...Yeah well those guys aren't real good at it either!

This is my third actually! I've been on the last two before this! So I got some seasoning on me!

[Lets out a low whistle, before she smiles again, now back to her previous, friendly demeanor]

Two expeditions, huh? That's about two more than what I've been on. How do these things usually go, anyway?

How do they usually go?

Wellll, the first leg tends to be pretty boring, and then you discover something kinda creepy and vague - and then it all wraps up by being chased down by some kind of monster or pack of monsters!

So...I guess okay?

[princelyspirit]

[Creepy? Vague? Okay, he just described her entire Paradisa experience, so no reaction there. The monsters, on the other hand... her eyes widen for a moment as she thinks over the implications there]

Well, then you and I have different definitions of the word "okay". I mean, I knew it was dangerous, out there, but... geeze, it's all kind of crazy when you talk about it out loud, isn't it?

[Or at least, it is for someone who comes from a world where monsters are just make-believe.]

Heh heh...well my world's a bit on the dangerous side anyway. But yep! It sure sounds a lot worse when you actually describe it!

But who knows, maybe nothing will happen.

Maybe, but that's not how these things usually go, is it? I've been reading up on some of the past trips, and it sounds like there's always something that goes wrong. Though, it's not all bad, I guess. I mean, you guys always manage to get out of it okay, don't you?

Yeah! I haven't heard of a doomed expedition yet!

Maybe stuff will go wrong, but we'll make it out! ♥

So, no doomed expeditions - just obnoxious, incredibly annoying expeditions. I guess it could be worse. And besides, it wouldn't be a decent adventure without some bad guys, right?

[She'll eat those words once she sees the bad guys herself. But, for now, she's playing it cool, joking around like nothing's the matter. Besides, it can't be that bad, can it?]
