[As emphasised by his wordy question, Dave is pretty damn bored. He thought this would be better than being on the meteor somehow, but it's turning out to be pretty crap. He's been helping around from time to time, but shenanigans are in order to keep the stir crazies at bay. If you happen to be in the less populated areas of the castle for one reason or another, you may witness a Dave who thinks he's all alone, talking at a camera he's set up.]

Sup, I'm Dave Strider and you're watching jackass. [He'll salute the camera at that point and turn to perform one of a wide variety of tricks on his skateboard. Sometimes he does good and sometimes he... doesn't.

What about alternate timelines? I find it pretty hard to believe all of them have stopped because a couple of people are here. What if the timeline we're in is the only one that paused, and how do you explain people coming and going from different points?

I don't know shit about time travel. At least beyond what the Doctor's told me about it. All I know is that we all come from different times and go right back to the moment we left so no one knows we even left. It's why we don't age, either.

As far as we can tell, when the castle gets tired of us we're sent back to the exact moment we left without remembering anything we learned here. But of course we have no way of knowing that for sure. And not everybody who leaves actually makes it back where they were.

It's like you were never even here-- You don't even remember being here at all until you wake up and it's like BAM. Now you have to pick up here where you left off, only chances are you passed out for some time.

That's one possibility, yes. But it's also possible that we're all from the alpha timeline, and our experiences here are erased whenever we're reinserted into it. We don't age, we don't stay dead - basically, we remain physically unaltered for as long as we're here.

... Or it could even be a combination of the two, which would account for anybody who's left for the Dead Zone and/or died out there.
