Unexpected Lesson!

[It’s a really just a typical day for Reborn, watching Tsuna, getting ready to kick Tsuna (for something who knows what), and traveling. Except the traveling is to the Dead Zone and Reborn’s not exactly aware of what that means until his kick lands and he ends up in it, fully adult and well, lacking clothes.]

That’s unexpected. [Totally ignoring the fact he’s on top of Tsuna.]

Ughhhnn... [why does reborn have to make his life so suffering. He moves to get up but uh, he can’t because Reborn has suddenly gained like 100 pounds.] Jeez, Reborn, did you hit me with your one-ton mallet or something? [He cranes his neck to look at him.

WHY IS JOLIN ON HIM NAKED]

HIIIIIIIIIE! Wh-what the heck’s going on here?! [His mind’s a little too preoccupied by FULL GROWN MAN SITTING NAKED ON TOP OF HIM to quite make the connection, and he struggles wildly to get out from underneath him.]

Tsuna screaming won’t help. [Wow Tsuna, way to call him fat. He just takes his time getting off of Tsuna and reaching for his hat to cover essential parts as he stands up and looks down at himself.

Wait a minute, why is he...?]

I wonder if Colonnello knew about this. [Unlike Tsuna he’s just taking this way too calmly to freak out over it, at least on the outside. He does however nudge Tsuna with his foot as he looks down at Leon.] You should go back.

And Tsuna stop.

[Tsuna immediately scrambles away when he’s given a chance, staring at Jolin in shock since he’s.. well, covered. S... ort of.]

Wh-what just happened? Wasn’t Reborn kicking me? So why...

[He suddenly stops being so flustered and just kind of stares at Jolin for a moment. You can practically hear the cogs turning in his head.]

W... wait... [He tries for a moment to go into Hyper Dying Will Mode, but it’s useless. Because they’ve crossed the Dead Zone.] We’re in the Dead Zone now... and... [And... Reborn’s curse probably wouldn’t hold up in the Dead Zone, right?

Staring at Jolin.

Very slowly and cautiously, in a small voice:] ... Re.. born?

[While Tsuna is thinking, Reborn just watches him, reaching up to brush down his hair somewhat as he waits for either his student to be SMART or be his usual no-good self, Leon already heading back across the border.

And then he’s staring at Tsuna and nodding and then kicking him in the side with his bare foot.]

Took you long enough, No-Good Tsuna. [He does however look down at the ground, as if trying to find something after that kick and he finds it, the pacifier he usually wears now clear instead of yellow and picks it up, shifting his hat as he needs to, he’ll moon anyone but he isn’t flashing certain people, NOPE.]

[Jolin is actually Reborn.

"Hiiiiiiie... ?" That's...! [ Why yes, yes she did just repeat that familiar noise to herself. ]

[ Oh, of all the things she thought she could possibly overhear in the journal. The first voice doesn't ring any bells, but the second? Definitely Tsuna. Clearly, clutching the journal and spazzing out right back at them is the best move. Also, she's taking the name "Dead Zone" quite literally. Tsuna, don't talk to the Angel of Death!! ]

He just, glances over at her and instead of being embarrassed nods. Sigh.]

[Sure, natural. That's about right. She's still giggling when she directs Feathers over and dismounts, wrapping the reins around a convenient tree branch before kneeling next to Tsuna to check him.]

...It seems like he's only passed out from the shock. [Martel glances up at him, flushes slightly, and focuses entirely on his face. It's obviously safer to do at this point in time.] Why did you kick him?

[Yes natural, totally natural man. He just shifts his hat around better as he stands, pacifier in hand as he glances down at Tsuna, ignoring that flushing and such yes.]

I couldn't exactly smack him on the back of the head for sputtering, could I?

...You kicked him because he was sputtering. [She sighs, exasperated at him.] Reborn, you can't just kick him for silly reasons! Actually, you shouldn't kick him at all!

And what exactly where you trying to teach him? [She draws up to her full height, which really isn't that imposing, but look, she tries.]

Though, I suppose that is payback. [As in, ending up naked when crossing into the Dead Zone.] You should have known something like this was going to happen.

[And this is where he would be tipping his hat to hide his eyes, but instead he's just standing there butt naked with wide eyes at that. This is, well no it shouldn't be unexpected but it is.] Better that than someone else with a similar curse discovering it.

[She makes a noise of frustration at that because why must he be so careless?! Says the woman who doesn't fear death because she's already died once.] I'd rather if you stayed alive, thank you!

And you have best get some clothes, unless you plan on running about in the Dead Zone naked. [A snort, as she kneels back down next to Tsuna and brushes his hair out of his eyes.] But first, we have to get him somewhere safe. I would, but I don't think I can lift him well now.

[Yes, yes he must because that's the Reborn way. Besides how else does she think he got the scars he has? Huh?] I'd prefer that as well, but it doesn't always happen.

[...Welp.] And I have a change of clothes, I brought spares for both sizes on the off chance they were needed, though I doubt Colonnello thought so far ahead. [Ahaha he's just, going to let his mouth twitch at that thought before moving to raise his hat to his head and stopping, sigh.] I would move him right now however, there are some things I doubt you would like to see at the moment.

...[She glances at him, and realizes that yes, the only thing standing between him and total nakedness was his hat. She can't help giggle.] Point.

[A sigh.] I'll see if I can flag down someone.

[Martel no, stop. He's just going to roll his eyes and then well, shake his head as he shuffles the pacifier to the hand holding his hat, letting it dangle on his finger.]

I'll move him once you're clear, Martel. It's my fault.

...If you're sure... [She stands up and goes back over to unloop Feather's reins from the tree and she gets back on.] I'll probably see you when we camp tonight. Be careful until then...?

[SHE DOESN'T TRUST YOU ALONE.]

[Tsuna groans softly, blinking groggily.] ... wha...?

[He sits up and rubs at his eyes, muttering to himself.] Was I asleep this whole time?

[Giotto is sitting next to him, and looks over when he wakes up.] Welcome back, Tsuna. You've been out for a while.

Ah, Giotto! [He sighs with relief.] I had the weirdest dream... I dreamt that Reborn was about to kick me but then we crossed over into the Dead Zone, so when he landed on me he was Jolin-san. He was naked, too... It was really strange!

[Now fully clothed, Reborn heads over and tips his hat at Giotto before casually smacking Tsuna on the back of the head, leaning down to get in his face.]

And you're still as dumb as ever.

[Ahaha yeah, casually tossing a rock over Giotto's head and aiming for Tsuna.]

[A disgruntled whine as Tsuna holds his hand and peeks at the adult form (that's still weird btw) from behind him.] Knock it off, Reborn! Give me a break...

[Why is Giotto in the middle of this? He sighs, though it is vaguely amusing as it reminds him of home and his Family, in a way.] Must you two act like five year olds?
