one truffula stump
[There isn't a giant, dramatic entry. Not a bang, not a crash. Lightning doesn't pierce the sky, wind doesn't gush through the trees. He's just... there.
Well. One minute he was there and then he was here and he can tell this isn't any kind of place he's been to before. The last place he'd been was smogged up and hacked to pieces. Nothing but stumps and glup and destruction. But here there's grass and fresh air and the sprout of something that resembles a truffula tree off to the side but that can't be right because there aren't anymore trees or he would have been back years ago.
He looks slowly to the left, then to the right. Glances up at the sky. Glances down at the ground. He spots the journal sitting there. How convenient. The Lorax pushes away his annoyance at thought of how many trees it might have taken to make this thing before beginning to hesitantly flip through it.]

After all when you're followed by that noise of discontent for five years, it's hard to miss it. Unfortunately, he's had hallucinations of the Lorax for the past two days. He doesn't even know the sound is coming from the journal, he just sits back on his comfy bed and closes his eyes]
You're just being rude now. You're supposed to have left with the creepy ship.
no subject
The mention of a ship makes him raise a furry eyebrow. Nope, he's not going to ask about it. He doesn't even know if he should talk to him at all. What if it messes up the timeline? Or his future fate? But the nickname is out of his mouth before he can stop himself]
...Kid?
no subject
Still, he's at least pinpointed where the voice is coming from. His journal now, huh? Great. Just great]
No. It's Pipsqueak. I just learned how to speak English and grew several feet.

Beanpole. [His tone is grumpy and serious as ever. You'd better tell him what's goin' on buddy]

[This strange, orange creature, though, has her curious. He almost looked like a homba, or possibly a badger? So for the moment she's keeping out of sight and swiveling her ears attentively in his direction.]
forever uvu
For now he just sits and paws through the journal, feigning ignorance]
:3
[He's got one of those man-things with him - a journal?, they'd called it? - and he at least looks like he know how to use it. Even if he is a homba, he's certainly not like the ones she's familiar with.]
[She steps out carefully, tipping her nose into the wind to catch a better sense.]

...I certainly did not expect anyone to say anything with such brevity so soon.
forever!
Why, did I miss somethin' important?
no subject
It's not that it was important. It was more...terrible. But yes, you did just miss it, and that is very fortunate.

If you possess a journal, you must be a resident of Paradisa, though my records indicate that an individual of your description has never been seen before. Welcome. My name is Bladewolf.
