106.3 - while you were sleeping (forward-dated to tonight @ 10)

[this week, it's still Leonard Cohen drifting through the journals and over the airwaves, but it's a different song. anyone who's been here long enough might recognize it, but Mark hasn't played it in years, now. after a little while, he turns the music down and speaks over it, calmly. for someone who was in stasis for a week, he still sounds tired]

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that this week, you guys don't want a rundown of everything that happened. I am gonna do my duty as castle crier and say that if anyone still needs it, there's help in the town clinic or the one here in the castle. And for the shit bandaids can't fix ... my friend Felix, he can help people keep the nightmares to a minimum. And Ken's offered to be a pair of ears if anyone wants to talk. [he sighs]

Normally, yeah, I'd have some big long speech about how we should all fight back and pull together and heave-ho, rally the troops, fuck the system, screw the man, all that noise, but ...

This is so fucking surreal that I -- I'm gonna level with ya, I don't even know where to start. I've had a few days to wake up and try to process what I missed, and I - my processor's busted. I don't dare even say I'm sorry, because I wasn't there, I couldn't do shit, and for once - I know, I hear the hallelujahs already - Hard Harry's got the common sense to keep his big fat mouth shut.

To anyone who might've shown up in the wake of all this? ... You're lucky you missed it. Fuck, I missed it, and I still don't feel lucky. How can I ... [the empty pit in his stomach returns, the one he feels every time he thinks of those who've died, friends and acquaintances alike, and when he thinks of what the castle did to his friends. he feels like he's going to be sick again, and there's silence for a moment as he fights it down]

No, he sounded fine, just tired ... I think he just passed out. He'll be okay. It - it's happened to him before. Not this one, but - a later version of him, another regeneration. A lot of stuff happened, and he was busy helping people, but then after it was done, he just sort of konked out for a week or so.

I think it's a Time Lord thing? But when he woke up, he was okay, so. I think we just need to keep an eye on him.
