Though it is not the way of things, mayhap that is why it will be entirely appropriate in this new realm. This is a prodigious day for myself; indeed for all of England. Whether or not you are loyal to the English crown and country, should you be loyal enough to me as a servant, an ally, or even a friend, I would welcome you to a simple supper I will be having to honor the day His Majesty the King bestowed upon me my crown. Should you choose to come, we will partake before dusk in the castle's own dining hall, where I am most apologetic to inform that no animals will be permitted within for the time being.

I required help in the kitchen, I am afraid. I am not quite so able as to have created this with mine own two hands while I am still healing, but I did all I could to ensure the quality.

Eh, still, you're a great cook! Definitely not like the spoiled royalty people think of.

[He sips whatever drink he has and makes a face. Okay, maybe it's water for him, since what the hell is this this isn't chocolate milk.]

To be fair, most people don't ever actually meet royalty. It's easy to think and say all sorts of stuff when you're not the one sitting in the throne room.

[He smiles boyishly.]

I thought many things of the King before I knew him, and was glad to find them untrue. Though rumors of the French king might not be so inaccurate.

[snowstorms]

[He rests his chin in his palm.] Is he really hairy?

[ She chuckles, can't help but tease. ]

What a question to ask a woman. How ought I to know such details, my lord?

Oops, I thought you'd met him too. [A smile.]

[ She laughs more, because Jack is so innocent in some ways. He can't even be teased properly. ]

Yes, my lord, I have met him, for I attended his wife as her maid for some time, and met him later on a progress. He often wears a beard, if that is what you ask.

[snowstorms]

[The joke goes flying over his head like a snowball.]

Oh... huh. What kind of beard? All the way down to his knees?

[ With a playful sigh, Anne shakes her head and touches her chin, then stretches her arm out to try and touch his, fluttering her fingernails to tickle. ]
