[She's in a place called Paradisa, and while it's beautiful, she's been warned about it by more than one person. Had she gone from one cage to another? It's an alarming thought. Things still don't make sense to her--she hasn't seen a tear, yet, but she supposes she's not looking in the right places. She's spent her time flipping through the pages while walking the grounds and city.
The journal was used for communication, she was told. Talking into a book is a strange feeling, but there's no harm in it, she supposes.]
Hello? Oh. [Okay, we've got it writing down her words. She assumes that's good!]
Booker? Are you here? It's me, Elizabeth. Please say something if you--hear this.
[A pause. Other people can hear this, too! That's exciting.]
And hello to everyone else. I've never seen anything like this before. And by this, I mean just about everything here. It's a lot to take in, but I think I've got a good grasp of the basics.

[Dictated]
She's not really thinking about her current predicament when she answers, in a small voice that obviously belongs to a very young child.]
Hello?
[She might not be consciously thinking about her situation, but her voice comes out a little more tentative and uncertain than her usual friendly self.]
Are you new?
[Okay, that sounded kind of stupid to say out loud. But she'll wait for an answer anyway. Just in case.]
4ever
I am. Are you new, too?
and ever ♥
Oh, no! I've been here a while!
[Reacting to Elizabeth's soothing tone, she tries to sound self-assured and confident. At best in her current voice, it sounds overly prideful... at worst, completely put on and unconvincing.]
I try to say hi whenever I see someone new! That way everyone has a friend!
[That would have sounded a bit sappy in her normal voice. Now it's practically dripping innocent saccharine sweetness...]

Yeah, I guess!
[She pauses, and her adorably perky tone shifts to slightly melancholy.]
... But it's kinda sad when they have to go back home. And sometimes I miss all my friends from my own world.
[Normally, she wouldn't talk about this to a new arrival, at least not in a way that could be seen as selfish. But it's something that's been on her mind lately. So she gets lost in thought about it for a moment...]

You haven't heard of a man named Booker DeWitt, have you? I've been looking for him all over. It's starting to look like he didn't come here with me.

[ That's not a request either. ]
Lucrezia
Lucrezia? Hello!
A ride? A ride on what?
Elizabeth
On horses. Real ones.
Lucrezia
[She sounds only excited. She liked petting a horse, so riding one has to be great.]
