025 - The Crash of Waves

[silentrunning]

[Chell's sitting on the edge of this bed that's not her own, staring around the room in confusion. She'd gone to bed the night before in her bed in the Castle and this morning she'd awakened... here. Wherever here was.

The whole place seemed to be rocking back and forth ever so slightly, and when she crawled slowly off of her bed and peered out, all she could see was bright, blue water stretching away. What... was this? What had the castle got her into this time?

Reaching down, she snagged her journal and wrote a quick message.]

What has the Castle got us into THIS time?

[And then she's off, slipping out of her room, trying to keep her footing on the gently rocking floor, and off to explore her surroundings.]

[OOC: Chell's on that cruise ship about a mile from the island. And she's exploring. Feel free to run into her if you're on the cruise ship, or to talk over the journals.]

[Jennifer's voice sounds sleepily content.]

Someplace nice for once.

[Chell has to agree. She's been prowling around enough by this point to realize Jennifer's definitely right. In fact, she's even managed to get used to the movement of the ship.]

But are we all here? Or are the others somewhere else? Also, do you ever know of the Castle to do something nice without reaping unholy vengeance on us the next second? But you're right. I'm going to enjoy it for now.

[That doesn't mean she won't be sketching her version of a map into the journal, just to be on the safe side.]

Do you know what this place is? I've never seen a building that rocks like this. I know we're on water but...

[Chell's never been on a boat or ship in her entire life, though she knows what one is. Have fun with that, Jennifer.]

You know, that's a good question. I haven't seen some of the people I know yet- though I assume it's because this place is so big. You also have a point... I'm enjoying myself for now, but I'm waiting for the catch. There's always a catch.

[Jennifer then pauses after the last few sentences Chell writes for a while before replying, feeling a flash of anger as well as pity. Chell seems to not know a lot of things someone her age should... and Jennifer wishes she knew who was responsible for that.]

We're on a ship- I assume you've never been on one before. This particular ship is called a cruise ship- it's made for relaxation, pretty much. For the people on board to sail to beautiful places all around the world.

[Chell's fascinated.]

I like it. It definitely suits its purpose then. It's very very relaxing. Maybe we are on one of those cruises.

Would be nice, wouldn't it? Maybe we might get to go on shore if we stop at a port. Even if not... there's still plenty to do here. If we don't end up with a swarm of bees onboard or something.

Or snakes... Snakes would be worse.

[OOC: *Resists making snakes on a ship joke.]
