COMBINED CAMP: DAY THREE
[The morning ends the heavy storm, bright sunshine beaming down on the makeshift camp. Some of you may be injured from last nights incidents, but at least this is some downtime for you to recuperate. Tembo and Harding are arguing heatedly some distance from the camp, but otherwise the jungle is silent.
The camp is being visited, however. A pack of compsognathus have made their way into camp. They're little guys only ten inches high, easily the smallest residents on the island. They're currently scurrying around the camp, looking for any food to scavenge, seemingly not concerned with the people milling around]
[[OOC: If you want a mod to NPC a compy, please leave a note in the subject line. NO SECTIONS YET, make your own! | Day three OOC post | Plot Hub]]

[It's like one of those action movie scenes, there is sunlight glinting off the dark armor and a rifle slung over her shoulder as she looks down at the pile'o'dinos that was her former bf.]
Can't leave you alone for a minute.
[Tex waded into the sea of little lizard bodies, the rifle sweeping down to catch the most of them with the butt of it. She swung it like a baseball bat back and forth to send the little bastards dazed and flying to uncover the blue beneath.]

Nice of you to show up.
[His voice is muffled by the compies clinging to his face. Church waves a hand around, unable to see with his face covered.]
no subject
[She reached down to snag his hand and help haul him up, shedding the remaining dinosaurs with swipes of her free hand.]

[He gets to his feet. A little wobbly at first, but once he's not worrying about mud and squished lizard he's fine.]
Did they get away?
[Church reminds himself that punching Lemony is a thing on his 'to do' list.]
no subject
Yeah, after you martyred yourself to the horde of ankle biting lizards they were saved.
no subject
Besides, I'm a lot less edible than they are.
no subject
Yeah, those little bastards should thank me, I probably just saved them the worlds worst indigestion.

[He realizes he's been just looking at her after a few seconds and looks away.]
We should, go check on the others... see what other trouble we can get into.
no subject
[She nodded and turned to head back toward the main group, she had a feeling these little bastards weren't the only ones they'd be seeing.]
no subject
[He put a hand to the back of his head and moved to walk beside her.]
Remind me to tell you about the Jabberwock sometime.
no subject
[He was such an idiot, but that didn't curb the soft chuckle.]
Jabberwok? Like out of Alice in Wonderland?
no subject
[He shrugs]
Oh yeah, you should have seen me... I totally kicked it's ass.
[Such a lie]
no subject
[She nudged his shoulder with her own as she strode on.]
Oh yeah? That's kinda hot.
[She lays that on thick because, oh yeah, he's totally fucking lying.]

So you and her..you weren't..
no subject
[He has no clue right now.]
Weren't what?
no subject
Whatever, forget it.
no subject
[He laughed, short and somewhere between amused and bitter.]
Yeah, no fuckin way.
no subject
[Oh, but he was saying they didn't, she paused to look at him.]
You weren't. At all?
no subject
[He tilted his head. No way she could actually think he'd be interested in Sister. Sister!?]
Give me a little fucking credit. Dumb and slutty isn't exactly my type.
no subject
[And now she's walking again.]
Good.
