COMBINED CAMP: DAY THREE

[The morning ends the heavy storm, bright sunshine beaming down on the makeshift camp. Some of you may be injured from last nights incidents, but at least this is some downtime for you to recuperate. Tembo and Harding are arguing heatedly some distance from the camp, but otherwise the jungle is silent.

The camp is being visited, however. A pack of compsognathus have made their way into camp. They're little guys only ten inches high, easily the smallest residents on the island. They're currently scurrying around the camp, looking for any food to scavenge, seemingly not concerned with the people milling around]

[She crosses her arms, looking disgusted as she stares at Tembo]

Yeah well he's part of the reason we're in this mess to begin with. Not to mention the fact that he's rude, a complete bully and an ass

I can't say I bothered to speak to him, but I believe it's also that woman that released the animals from their cages and also got some of us killed last night.

Honestly I thought about doing the same thing... though I would've had the sense to release them one at a time so they wouldn't have stampeded like that.

Clearly she wasn't thinking, or simply considered us as part of the enemy. In either case, both their interests lie with the dinosaurs and not us.

[She nods]

That's certain. I wouldn't follow them, by any means. Tembo may know his way around a gun but that doesn't mean he won't shoot us in the back if it'll save his hide.

[She glances over at him]

How are you doing, Felix? I feel like we haven't spoken in a while.

Things have been...complicated.

[Oh that doesn't sound good. The concern is clear in her voice]

What's going on?

[lord_wizard]

[It takes him a moment to say anything, or even decide if he should at all, but a few beats later, accompanied by a press of his fingers against his eye, he speaks]

Do you recall the lover I told you about? He's here. Has been for a couple of months...

[kungfuwitch]

[Her eyes widen and she takes in a sharp breath. She bites her lip as she thinks back to their conversation about the man]

I had no idea. Are you okay, Felix?

[lord_wizard]

[He drops his hand and forces a small smile]

I'm still trying to figure that out.

[kungfuwitch]

[She hesitates a moment before carefully adding:] And Ashura?

[lord_wizard]

He knows. And taking it...as well as he can, but...[He sighs and shakes his head, looking around at the makeshift camp with a obvious look of unease] ...perhaps now it not the time.

[kungfuwitch]

[She nods]

Of course. I'm sorry. Maybe some other time? Someplace more private.

[lord_wizard]

[He waves the apology away]

Yes, of course. I should see to my brother...
