THE RIVER

[YOU CHOSE THE RIVER ROUTE Too bad, Mama decides to give this group chase. There's a cave up ahead, a small waterfall partially concealing the entrance, but it should provide safe cover, if you can make it]

[She follows, and as soon as she gets close enough, she is going to try to snap down on their tiny little bodies]

[Phoebe yelps and leaps to the side, narrowly avoiding those jaws. She rolls, coming back to her feet and dashing forward barely missing a step]

[Peter jumps in the other direction, hoping to confuse the beast. But then he's right by Phoebe's side again and keeps running]

[She turns her head, trying to focus on which one to eat first. Choices choices. Maybe she can get both at once? She growls, snapping down again]

[kungfuwitch]

[Oh that's not fair. Phoebe tries to leap and tumble out of the way again but instead of rolling neatly to her feet her shoulder catches on a rock and she ends up sprawled on the ground. Cursing she tries to push herself back to her feet before The Rex decides to take advantage]

[spongetastic]

Phoebe! Stay down! And you, come here! Over here! [he waves his arms so the Rex will pay attention to him]

[sparednothing]

[Mama turns her attention to the moving target, starting to walk towards him, ground shaking. Phoebe your husband will die for you, how's that for loyalty?]

[kungfuwitch]

Peter, no!

[Phoebe stays in a crouch, reaching towards her husband. No no no no she can't let this happen. Not like this. Not without their powers. There has to be SOMETHING.

No. Sorry, Peter, but she's not going to listen today. She picks up a good sized rock and gets to her feet.]

Get away from him you son of a bitch.

[She sends the rock flying towards her head, waiting for it to connect and for the T-Rex's head to turn her way before taking off running again.]

[well he didn't marry her because she was a damsel in distress. They're never going to get anywhere like this. He runs toward her again]

Phoebe! We have to work together on this, okay? We are both making it out of this alive.

[sparednothing]

[The rock hits home. It doesn't do much, but distract the Rex. She roars, starting towards them, moving to snap down again]

[kungfuwitch]

[Then Phoebe feels it. All of a sudden like a rush of warm air running through her.]

Peter, our powers!

[She grins over at him as she runs. Oh the tables just turned, dino. She lets out a slow breath and lets words flow through her mind, words that she'd been mulling over ever since she'd seen the stupid things. It was a simple spell, to be sure, but it had worked on the pirate ship with half her powers working and there was only so much she could do while running.]

With these vines I do entangle!

[Vines shoot up from the ground, wrapping and winding themselves around the T-Rex's feet and legs. Have fun with that, Mama.]

[Peter feels it, too. For him, it's like a rush of strength and power. It comes suddenly enough that sparks shoot between his fingers. He matches her smile, aiming behind his shoulder.

An bolt of electricity shoots from his hand and hopefully hits the T-rex right in the eye. Or at the least the mouth when the thing roars]

[sparednothing]

[Mama roars, confused as she pulls her legs, trying to free them. The lightening quickly turns that to screams as she tries to pull away. She ain't eating you guys you fight back]

[kungfuwitch]

[Damn straight they fight back! Now that the T-Rex is stopped Phoebe rushes over to Peter]

Are you alright?

[spongetastic]

I'm fine. I don't want to complain, but how are our powers suddenly back?

[kungfuwitch]

[Phoebe shakes her head incredulously]

I don't know. What I do know [She grabs the front of his shirt and pulls him in for a kiss because DEAR LORD that was both terrifying and so hot. When she finally loosens her grip she's smiling] is that I love you.

[She pauses briefly, eyes flicking over to the still trapped T-Rex.]

And we should probably get out of here before it gets free.

[spongetastic]

[uh whoa he wasn't expecting her to do that. But not complaining because the rush of his powers being back lets him feel what she's feeling]

Love you too. Let's get the hell out of here.

[and you know, he's going to throw another electrical jolt at the creature just to remind it not to follow them]

[sparednothing]

[God you you guys have to mack out right in front of her? SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHERE HER HUSBAND IS YOU KNOW? The shock was a reminder indeed, and she eventually pulls free and stomps off for easier prey]

[kungfuwitch]

[that's what you get for trying to EAT her husband!

Phoebe smiles as she grabs Peter's hand and pulls him forward]

We should see if anyone else needs any help getting away.

[and for trying to eat his wife. Peter smirks a little watching the dino stomp away, but then turns serious again and nods]
