[To be fair, she wouldn't have been very grateful to anyone else either, so at least there's that. She don't need no protecting.]

[ Joshua hadn't even known it was female, but he wasn't exactly looking for that while running for his life all night in the dark. ]

And if she wasn't taken out of the picture, she just would have kept trying to kill us, and nobody would have been able to sleep tonight.

We're big boys and girls. I'm sure we could have managed. [Or rather, she could think of a billion other ways to take an angry dinosaur out of the picture now that her powers are back. Some might require a year of her life as payment, but at this point it already feels like she's lost one.

[ Lucrezia is quite content just to watch the behemoth balancing precariously yet unmoving, even if its expression is lively enough that it seems to shiver and sway. But then the woman chastising Joshua for essentially saving them is starting to grate on her nerves. Enough's enough.
