[Backdated to earlier in the day]

[Outside on the grounds (fortunately, away from any trees), seems to be the usual peculiar duo of Arya and Zelos. Both of them seem to be wearing goggles, gloves and lab coats - and in addition Arya looks like she's dressed up more for christmas with a forest green hat and red boots on. And right now, they seem to be very invested in doing a very important task]

[Science and Fire. In fact you can tell it's science by the goggles. And the clipboard to write stuff down if they feel like bothering.]

[When you pass by, they have a little station set up to help burn different types of things, using Zelos's magic or matches to start it up. One particular instance a person may be walking by, and there is a sudden huge burst of green fire out of nowhere. It's one that seems was a lot bigger than planned considering how at least one is jumping back.]

Whoa- whoops! Too much gas on that one hahaha!

[...What. we all deal with stress differently okay]

[ Rather than jump back, Arya jumps up and down in place, a wide grin splitting her face. ]

Are you seeing this one?!

[he snickers, grinning at both the fire and her enthusiasm]

Sure am! Now tell me, what chemical is this again?

[wolfchild]

Boric acid. [ the answer comes promptly. arya stops her bouncing to face him. she clasps her hands behind her back, rattling the information off from memory. ] It has other names too. I like orthoboric acid. [ because it's fun to say. ] It has a formula of...h-three-b-o-three. We mixed it with met-methanol! So it would burn.

[wilder]

[He nods]

Perfect! Though we probably added too much methanol to it. [Considering it's a pretty huge fire]

[wolfchild]

[ she glances at the fire before looking back at zelos. she smirks. ]

I think we added just enough!

[wilder]

[He laughs]

Well I guess as long as we don't get hair burnt!

[wolfchild]

Yours! I don't have hair! Besides, I have my hat!

[ She goes to clap her hands over her hat, then remembers that she can't touch her things with the gloves. ]

I keep forgetting I have these on.

[wilder]

You still have eyebrows! Those have hair!

[He snickers]

Yeah- they're more comfortable than I thought they'd be!

[wolfchild]

I'm not going to stick my face in fire. That's stupid.

[wilder]

Hey c'mon! It happened to me once when I was learning magic! It's easier than you'd think!

Did a fireball blow up in your face?

[wilder]

...Ahahaha, something like that.

[wolfchild]

[ she hides her mouth in the crook of her elbow to stifle her snickering. ]

[Those sounds are worrying you guys. So so worrying]

Please, please please tell me that you're not playing with explosives.

Of course not! Don't worry! It's just some fire and chemicals!

[ And this would be another whoosh of fire along with little girl whoops of delight. ]

...Zelos, fire and chemicals are kind of a big component of explosives.

Do you at least know what you're doing?

[wilder]

Of course!

We're doing science.

[wolfchild]

We're doing science!

[ arya says it just as zelos does. she laughs. ]

We said it together!

[The Once-ler can't help but raise an eyebrow at the journal for that. But it's nice to hear Arya laughing again, so he won't spoil it]

Science huh? So what are you doing with all these fire and chemicals? Other than possibly making craters in the castle grounds.

[wilder]

[he grins at Arya and has to resist the urge to hairruffle because yeah- let's not get chemicals on her hat]

We're trying to make fire different colors! We just managed green!

[wolfchild]

We're doing purple next! Come see!

[whichwayyoulean]

[Outside : < But he's only just started to settle into his hermit routine again]

It's okay, I wouldn't want to intrude on the mixing of possibly dangerous chemicals.

Oh c'mooon Once-ler! You like science!

[wolfchild]

We're only burning Zelos' eyebrows!

[ and skittering away. ]
