027 - Awoooooo!
[Every week or so, without fail, Chell has been wandering by the animal shelter in town. She's been looking for the perfect animal. Having a Magikarp is awesome... But sometimes she wants an animal who's more mobile than a Magikarp. And today she's found the perfect pet.
She's standing in front of a kennel, wherein is sitting adog. Not just any dog though. It's a dog of indeterminate breed, with one ear that perpetually droops over, one brown eye and one blue and a docked tail. His fur is a mottled black and brown but he has a random white ring around one eye, and a white spot on his butt.]
"Would you like to adopt him, dear?"
[the worker asked with a smile as she had for many animals, but this time Chell nodded her head. And a few minutes later, she was walking out of the shelter with a leash in hand.]
[And a little while later, Chell opens her journal and writes a question to the residents at large.]
If you adopted a dog, what would you name it?
[She sketches a picture into the journal for reference.]

[Welp, now Chell's curious.]
Why? I mean, I know you're from District Twelve, but I wondered if there was a reason you'd name a dog that. Absolutely not disrespecting the suggestion though. Just extremely curious.

I think you have a really great idea there.
[She's serious. No sarcasm in her voice.]

Only my home would have been Aperture, and that seems an odd name for a dog. Though he does have eyes of different colours.

[Chell writes back.]
Jazz is a good name. I like the musical style.

Are dogs always so... sniffy?
[She doesn't sound annoyed. Just amused.]

I'm sure you'll get used to it.

[Wet noseprints on her journal aren't always fun. But she idly doodles eyes and a mouth inside a noseprint, so you get a smiley face! Aren't you lucky? Dog nose smiley-faces are all the rage.]

I'm sure it wont be a problem.

[Awww c'mon, man. She'd have loooved to know you smiled.]
Naah. I don't think so either. Besides, they give me good templates for the drawing of smileys.
[And the dog barked his agreement to this. Or maybe he was just hungry, or just barking. You decide.]

Seems you two are getting along fine already.
no subject
It does.
[She grins. And unlike you, she doesn't mind you knowing. In fact, you can hear it in her voice.]
[OOC: <3 :P]

...Target?

[Chell grins.]
I love that name. It'd suit him!

[She rummages up a paper though, and writes down the suggestions she's got.

[She doesn't know about cats and dogs and their infamous feud.]
[OOC: Just because I'm curious (and if you told me I can't remember) how many cats does Django have?]

Good luck with picking a name!

[Chell regards her pet for a minute, head cocked sideways in thought.]
I'm not sure what kind of dog he is...
[And the dog, bless his soul, decided right that minute would be the perfect opportunity to lick the page of the journal. Have a slobbery spot on your journal, Gren.]
Stop that. [Chell said as sternly as she could.]

Somewhat medium dog... And he likes you.

[She laughs.]
Because he licked the page. Of course.

Maybe we can meet and take him for a walk into town sometime.
no subject
That'd be awesome. ... And I have a present for you anyhow.

It's give Gren a present day, didn't anyone tell you?
[She is being playful.]

Well, lucky for you I remembered!
