I've got to be honest: I thought for sure it would be a giant lizard and not a man-sized monster.

[Yes, Souji is already learning: don't trust the castle's events and be ready for combat. Thanks, everyone that's taught him that lesson.]

I should probably work on getting myself armed, just in case something like that happens again, and they seal our powers again...

[Huh. It feels odd, talking about powers in such a frank way, even after being here for a while. How about that.]

There was one. It... was a little scary.

[And he's not just saying that to be a dork like he usually is. With no weapon and no Persona, facing a seemingly-invulnerable enemy, there's only one time he's felt more helpless.]

Nope. I didn't have a sword, either. There were some guns to go around, but I didn't manage to get my hands on one.

[Not like he'd really have the first idea how to shoot with one, either. He's no Naoto.]

...The food there in the monster place wasn't bad, though.

I'm glad you're still in one piece, Souji-kun. For some reason I got the boot earlier than you guys and was back here first. I don't know why the Castle does that, leaving other residents out of the trouble. I should be glad but knowing you were in trouble and I couldn't help you... Well that just pisses me off!

[He takes a moment to think before responding to her, trying to figure out with the limited knowledge he's got just why the castle would choose people seemingly at random to expose to greater danger in what was a pretty enjoyable event up until then.

But in the end, he just shrugs.]

I'm glad I got back alright, too. And it looks like everyone else did that got taken there. The... alien thing we had to avoid was pretty scary, though. I thought I might scream a few times.

I can summon monsters and spirits out of my head to attack my enemies.

For serious. Well... I should be fair and say that's what I used to be able to do. My loss is that now I can only summon one.

Hey, one is still way more than what I can summon from my head. Which is just cheery optimism. What does the monster look like?

You do sound pretty optimistic. [Thoughtful noises go here.] His name is Izanagi. I guess he's more or less human-shaped, but he wears a long, dark coat, a mask, and he has a giant spear. It's very scary.

Can I see him sometime?

...Maybe. If any monsters show up to attack the castle.

[Sadly, he isn't very keen on pulling him out just to show off.]
