[she clears her throat, trying to sound as much of an authority figure as possible. She's done this as a prefect but it's an entirely new feeling when you're shouldering the burden of being a professor. Plus she has to pretend that this is all normal for those who have fake memories. Sigh]

Hello, students. Welcome back to another year at Hogwarts. I am the Arithmancy professor, Hermione Granger. Will all of my OWL and NEWT students please turn in your summer homework as soon as possible? We'll be getting right to work in your next class so I want to be sure you're prepared.

I'd also like to welcome all of the new Gryffindors. As your Head of House, I want you to know you can come to me with any questions. Good luck to our team today. I know that you'll all do our House proud. [she's really not into Quidditch, but she'll still support the team]

Well, you know, it was for ghosts. So the food was rotted and there was eerie music playing. And it was quite cold.

Wonder if they consider it insulting if you bring your own food?

Was just curious, though it's not like I need to eat one way or another. If they invite living people to the event, you'd think they'd consider it.

I think sometimes they forget about what it was like to be alive.

Who knows how long some of them have been dead, I imagine it's fully possible.
