(Dictated)
What does it mean to be a Gryffindor? (The colors remind him of the Bard school.) I understand that bravery and chivalry play a part, but if that's all, I am not in the right House in the least.
Speaking of which, does anyone really abide by the curfew? I feel like I'm in the Collegium again, but this time...
(There's no one warming his bed. Sleeping alone is almost physically painful after everything. Every moment of silence is filled with Tylendel's thoughts about Savil and all of the people - good people - he betrayed and left behind.)
It seems lonely. Magic can't make up for everything.

The way it has been explained to me, dear heart, is that we are in a magical castle of another sort and our magic is different too. I cannot cast the normal spells, we must use these... wands.
Ah, this all might be better sorted in person, no? Meet me outside the main doors.
[ So he could make sure it was you here, reassure himself their happiness was not yet taken away yet again. ]

I wondered what this stick was for. I'm glad I didn't use it to stoke the flames in the fireplace.
(He chuckles. How does he read his mind? Is that apart of the Magic?)
I'll be there. Give me ten minutes. There are a lot of stairs.
(But he'll be taking them two at a time unless a staircase moves.)
Re: [ dictated ]
[ Lots of stairs was an understatement, wasn't it? He had just as many to run through, but he made it out to the front, clad in the black robes with his bright yellow scarf, colors he did not particularly like but had no choice about at the moment now did he? Well, it was only temporary.
He stood outside, turning about, looking for Tylendel with nervous anticipation. ]
[ action ]
He was pretty easy to spot in Hufflepuff colors. Then again, Tylendel stood out in the red and gold too. It figured that they would be doomed to the gaudier colors Hogwarts had to offer.)
Van! (He ran up to the other boy, eyes wide.) You're... (A teenager.) How do you feel?
Re: [ action ]
[ Ah, that was an... interesting question, wasn't it? How did he feel? ]
Young.
[ It felt the only real word he had for it. But his eyes glittered, reaching out to take Tylendel's hand, lacing their fingers. ]
Like we're back at the Collegium when we first met.
[ action ]
You look young! (Just like old times.) I haven't a clue how I stopped from kissing you for so long.
Re: [ action ]
Well, eventually you do need to breathe - and talk.
[ He still had all his memories, even if his body was young. But his eyes held the oldness in them, the scars of the years even if his body no longer bore those same scars. Still, he smiled warmly and kissed his life bonded, not caring who saw like he might have at the Collegium. ]
So, I suppose you are in another house from me then.
[ He touched the other's red and gold scarf as compared to his own yellow and black. ]
[ action ]
(He notices Vanyel's eyes; the maturity that is held within those depths is undeniable. Yet he is glad that his lover gets to feel a young body again. The pain of his many battles can be forgotten - fully - for the length of this world change.)
Gryffindor, yes. (A shrug follows and he shakes his head.) I don't think I'm suited. Chivalry, bravery...
We all know I can be a right ass when I want to be.
Re: [ action ]
When you wanted to be, but I think everyone is capable of that.
[ He squeezed his hand all the same, reassuring him. ]
But you are brave, Tylendel, and chivalrous. Sometimes not in equal measures, but you are. At the least, red suits you better than this yellow and black suits me.
[ He sighed, looking down at the scarf and the insignia emblazoned on his robes. ]
[ action ]
[His eyebrows raise and he drops kisses over Vanyel's face.]
The black brings out your eyes and the yellow is sunny. I like imagining you in the sunshine.
Re: [ action ]
Sunshine is golden, not the color of a lady's gown.
[ He sighed, looking down the paths and across the grounds of this 'Hogwarts', this place the Castle had become. Really, it was quite idyllic and in the distance he could see the gates. He had heard talk that the path led down to a place called Hogsmede, a little village of sorts the students could shop in and get something to drink or treats. ]
Care to explore with me?
[ action ]
(It was endearing to see that some of Vanyel's peacock tendencies hadn't changed. As far as he was concerned, his lover always looked gorgeous. One look from Vanyel's pale eyes was enough to make his legs feel like jelly.)
I don't want to be anywhere else. Lead the way.
Re: [ action ]
[ He felt warm, taking Tylendel's hand, hearing him say those things. It felt like the old days, before everything had become so... hard.
He nodded and they headed down the path towards the gates that he could see not to far off, looking back over his shoulder at the great beast of a castle behind them. ]
Certainly an interesting world we're in this time.

Sometimes it's difficult for the Hat to place a student. I know it seriously considered putting me in Ravenclaw.

[But that doesn't soothe his fears very much.]
I was...more than a coward in the past. [Yet he was still a Herald and he has more than learned from his mistakes.]
