Resolve Affirmed [ dictated ]
Well... that was a rather interesting experience. I have to admit, it was rather fun, even with the dragon there at the end. I had never imagined such things could be real, but then, this is Paradisa, after all, and even in my own world Gryphons were once real, simply extinct now.
Ah, but that is not why I am addressing you all.
Before we are swept up in another maelstrom of shifts, I thought I might finally get the finishing touches done on the salle I have mentioned a few times. It's made progress and thankfully this time is still intact after the shift. But I need some help putting on the final bits of roofing and the mirror. Preferably I would like someone with magic for this last bit, but anyone who has building skills I would welcome just as much. I have magic of my own, but it is not as... delicate as I would like to to be for placing this sort of thing in.
Who would have thought trying to get a simple building built would take this long?
Also, I intend to make the salle open to all who want to train there, by the by, and I am willing to provide rapier lessons for those who would like them once the building is finished. We often have a need to defend ourselves here, after all, so I will gladly help those that wish to learn to do so.

That might be good. The glass is heavy and fragile, and we need to secure it in place. One wrong move could shatter the whole pane and I do not wish to imagine what it has cost me already to wish the thing up.

That would be very helpful Duke, thank you. The sooner the better too. I don't want to get caught in another crazy Castle shift again.

[ He's pretty sure that those words indicate that yes, Vanyel already wished it up, but he's not terribly sure. ]
no subject
Oh... well, give me about an hour to meet you down there? I want to round up a few more hands and then put the mirror up. It might easier that way.
no subject
[ And probably be there early, but that is just how Duke is. ]

[ He knew, and he was grateful for Duke's assistance. The other's magic, he thought, had a wider range than Vanyel's own and he was glad for it. Now to just find everyone else and make his way down...
Which he did about an hour later as he said he would, dressed in a dark tunic and trousers and hard boots, the sort of thing you wore to work in, hair pulled back in a stiff queue. ]
Ah, Duke, you made it. Excellent.

Wasn't terribly hard to find. ... Ready?
no subject
[ He nodded. ]
Come inside.
[ He led Duke in, the inside of the salle smelling of fresh wood and polish, like a lumber mill newly made. Later, it would take on the danker smells of sweat, but for those who worked in a salle, that was often appreciated. ]
The mirror is going against the south wall.

It is for watching yourself - to make sure that you are performing the movements correctly. Usually it is used for singular practice, but it can be used in smaller groups too. I greatly enjoyed using it at the Collegium - it is a help, so I thought to add it here.

Yes, well, we keep them back from the mirror, as it were. So far no one has broken the one in the Collegium, but I suspect that is because no one has the money to replace it if they do.

It is possible, but I have never felt an enchantment on it. Though that is a good idea, all things considered.
Speaking of further enchantments... have you met Tylendel yet, Felix? I should introduce him to Chimera soon.

Yes, well...
He is a Mage, like myself, so I think he would good for Chimera's ranks. But he is also very important to me and I would like my friends here to meet him.

Haha something like that. This has been an ongoing project for a time, but between shifts and other concerns, well, it has been put on hold quite a bit.

Do not apologize, Tylendel. If I had to ask for a distraction, you are the best one for there to be.
Well, I could use help polishing up a few things, and will probably need help pushing the mirror into place, even with Duke's magic.

Heh, that is how I feel, which I think is why I built the salle. Come down then, you can help me polish the bars and floors and make sure the equipment is properly stored.
