Accompanying the terrible screeching is a low thudum-thudum-thudum. This continues for about a minute before the Once-ler manages to grab hold of his journal, laughing nervously into the pages]

Sooo hey. Quick FYI. You guys might want to avoid the Laundry Room until tomorrow. Not that there's anything to worry about. Mostly.

Whoaaaah just stay in that corner of the room. Oh jeez you're getting Tide everywhere.

I might have experimentally given one of he tumble dryers legs. And then I was tinkering about in the back of it, just fooling around and I miiiiight have given it a teeny tiny slither of self awareness. Like the teeniest. Hardly anything, really.

[Screeeech. Thudum-thudum-thudum]

I think it's mad.

I'm throwing socks and dryer sheets at it and those seem to be keeping it at bay.

That's when I make for a mad dash for the door and leave the dryer to the castle's heroic types.

Of course. I'm sure someone will come along to mangle it in a few. Depending on if they want to do their laundry.

Though why in the world would you give a dryer legs?

Assuming people want to do their laundry on a Saturday instead of that being social thing some people enjoy.

Sure, I'm working on some building projects right now. And hey, this totally counts as a good use of my time.

I'm not sure if I would trust a walking dryer with my clothes. [Or a dryer at all.]

Oh come on, it still knows how to do it's job. Besides, the legs are on the outside, they can't get at your clothes.

Well, I never actually had a machine to do it for me. And it's something to do.

That's his excuse too. I almost feel sorry for you guys that mashing your clothes is a legitimate way to spend some time.

It's not really an excuse. Anyway, I'm not even sure I trust washers and dryers.

....Seriously, do you and Zelos just sit up at night and whisper a lot of modern machinery conspiracy theories at each other? The washers and dryers aren't going to hurt you.
