I will keep this short for anybody who runs into me- yes, I am aware that the hat looks ridiculous. If I could get rid of it, I would. I'd like to just forget it is there, truthfully.

[Temp loss time! Simon has the infamous Jayne hat stuck to his head. And a stylish fake goatee, ooh la la.]

[She coughed out a laugh.] Just ... not in anything else orange. People might think you're trying to dress up as a pumpkin.

[Simon tugs discontentedly at the ear flaps.]

Orange is definitely not a good color on me, anyway.

It won't be for long, brother dear.

[She hopped up, and kissed him on his be-flapped cheek.]

[Simon went a little red at that.]

Still, I wanted to get everyone's giggles out of the way first. It's hard to treat someone when they are laughing at you.

[Katniss pressed her lips together, suppressing another giggle.]

That's very true ... but at least you'll make people forget their pain?

[Simon pushed the hat back again.]

This is true- laughter being the best medicine and all. Well, that is not technically true, but it does have proven benefits.

[She grinned, before hooking her arm through his.]

No worries, brother. It won't last long.

And I will deal with the humiliation in the meantime.

With grace and poise, I am sure.

I am sure you would not expect anything less.

Never do, when I'm worrying about the people I care about. Which in fact, includes you.

A fact I am actuely aware of and definitely appreciate.

I would hope so. I'm not this insanely protective over anyone, you know.

[Simon gives her a hug.]

[She hugged him back, tightly.]
