I was wondering how long this lull was going to last. Not long, it seems, though I can't say I'm surprised.

I'd say have fun on your trip, but I'm sure we all know how silly that sentiment would be.

[And if Howl sounds terribly bored by it all, it's because he's trying very hard to. No gallivanting off for him, even if he weren't an irredeemable coward]

I would say you aren't missing terribly much, but I couldn't guarantee that. On the other hand, it's fairly certain you are missing quite a bit of trouble.

I may be missing some excitement, but I'm sure I'm also missing out on the chance of a horrible demise, and I can't say I'm terribly sad about that.

People get tired of being stuck here, I think. And most of them certainly do not bother to listen or read any of the reports before going.

In any case, I'll probably forget by the time the next expedition rolls around and end up going again.
