Quest 1: A Wild Dwarf Appears! [Dictated/Action][Open to all - let me know if I messed up!!]

[Where is he? Why is there a book in his hand?]

...from the make of this place, I'd say this is Elf sorcery...

[To appease his curiosity, Thorin opens the book and finds not only his name, but the words he spoke not seconds ago written inside.]

...definitely Elf devilry.

[He tilts a brow and observes his surroundings - seems to be a lobby of some sort. Dwarves don't typically live in castles, so he knows this is not the work of his kind - and his kind would never demand the sacrifice that this castle did.]

Where in Mahal's beard am I?

[He nodded.] Yes, that's it's name.

I am just outside the castle walls underneath a large tree. The largest tree you can see within the castle grounds, as I like spending time sitting under here. There is another hobbit also within the castle, my future cousin, Frodo Baggins. If you journey outside the castle, you will find me at the foot of the large tree just in the castle grounds. [He hoped Thorin could find the tree he was talking about.]

Where about are you?

[Has Bilbo forgotten so soon how easily Thorin gets lost? He's apprehensive about wandering an unknown place on his own - not that he'll ever admit this aloud.]

I...appear to be at a main entrance of sorts...

[He looks around, rather in awe of the architecture. Again, not that he'll admit it aloud, considering he still suspects that it's of Elf make...]

The entrance? Ah, I see. Well, how about we meet outside the tree? I'll just be sitting underneath the branches, if you want to meet me, Thorin? Or, shall I come to you? [He wanted to give the dwarf the choice, as Bilbo knew he tended to like picking for himself.]

Very well, the tree sounds fine - so I just leave out the doors I came in and the tree is right outside?

[He's not about to admit his ineptitude with directions. Rather, he would prefer to prove that he is capable of following simple directions...even if he isn't.]

Seems simple enough.

[He nods.] Yes. You can't miss it. I'll wait here for you, Thorin.

[Bilbo gave a nod to the dwarf and hoped he could find his way through the castle and towards his location. Now, he didn't feel so lonely anymore.]

[Thorin turns around, finding the doors to the castle and tentatively pushing them open. Slowly he steps out of the castle and glances around.]

[The last thing he needs is to get lost in this new place and risk running into more Elves.]

[But he can see the tree, right out front as Bilbo said. Thorin smiles softly before stepping through the doorway and towards the tree.]

I don't think I've ever been so happy to see a Hobbit in my life!!

[And he means that!]

Well, I'm here now, so you'd better get used to it. [He smiled warmly up at the large dwarf.] We are the only ones here from our company though. No one else seems to have been brought here by the train.

[Thorin frowns at this news. No Kili? No Fili? Not even Dwalin? That was upsetting indeed.]

[He manages a slight smile though, he is glad to have the Hobbit for company at least.]

Perhaps that is for the best, lest they become forced to pay their 'loss' as we have...

Perhaps you are right. I mean, I wouldn't want Kili or Fili, or anyone else, to be stuck here without any route out. Maybe it's best that the rest are back home and we concentrate on finding a way back when we can? [Always the optimist, Bilbo.]

[Thorin gives a weak smile.]

Aye, if there's anyone who can find their way out of here, I'm sure it's you, Master Baggins.

You are indeed a most gifted Hobbit.

You are indeed soft, Bilbo.

But the world needs gentle Shire folk such as yourself. Otherwise the world would be filled with people like......well, me!

And I think the world can only handle one Thorin Oakenshield.

I would hope that this soft hobbit becomes hardier as the journey goes on. I am trying my best, Thorin. [He gave the dwarf a proud smile.]
