[The castle has really got to stop with this turning York into a toy business. It's starting to get annoying.]
[Filtered away from anyone who would use this information for harm]
What the hell is everyone talking about? Did something happen? I've been, uh, out of it for a couple weeks. Anyone mind giving me a hand here?
[Carolina]
Hey. Sorry about that. You okay?
((ooc: Since the distress call was over the radio, it didn't get recorded on the journals so what expedition?))

[He's had too many MREs, okay? You can't come from a town with as many restaurants as New York and be satisfied with freeze-dried space crap forever.]
Buffet or gourmet, speaking of food?
no subject
[Bartender brings her back a dark ale and she takes a long drink.] Dogs or cats?
no subject
I can't really say I prefer either one - fur gets into my armor. Besides, if I pick the one that some of my friends turn into, it'll offend some of my other friends. I had a parrot for a while, though. That was kind of cool.
[Well, and Delta had been a parrot for a while, before he'd taken care of the Doctor's bird.]
Steak or lobster?
[...Maybe he needs to order some bar snacks.]
no subject
[She laughs,] Man I can't pick both? Steak, then. Nothing beats a good porterhouse. Rare.
You, same question.
no subject
New York Strip, medium.
[And then he blinks.]
I think I must be hungry. Nachos or fries, and I mean in an "order right now" kind of way?
no subject
Oh, uh ... nachos. Nachos sound great. [She leans over too nudge his shoulder with hers, then focuses on her beer.]
no subject
Your turn, by the way.

What, no rock and roll? Come on, that's like asking if I'd rather eat slugs or snails.
Dragons or unicorns?
no subject
And fuck yeah dragons, unicorns can suck it.
no subject
Fine. Rap, I guess. But I assure you that neither of them is allowed on my iPod. [He doesn't want Gary to get any ideas, after all.
Fortunately, the nachos seem to be on their way. Om nom nom.]

So, who're these people you're all rushing off to save?
no subject
Beats me. Bunch of First Gens, sounds like. I didn't hear the actual broadcast.

Also, if they wipe out a town less than sixty miles from the border, they could very well come here next, and they're freaky enough without technology or powers.

[He grins over to see her like that. Honey, how many shots did you do before he got here?]
no subject
Carolina's such a twat.
[And then she tips up and forward, in her mind moving in for a passionate kiss. In reality it's more a stumble and a fishface.]

South!
no subject
Oh come on, I bet she's not even putting out!
[Also it's either lean against York or fall out of her chair so it's less clinging for emotional support and more clinging to stay upright.]
no subject
South. That's not what this is about. Now I like you, I really do, but as a friend. All right?
no subject
Yeah-I know, but sometimes friends do stuff too. 'Specially when there aren't any not-friends to do stuff with.
no subject
[He tries to break it to her as gently as possible, but--it's just not going to happen. Poor South.]
