Possibly, but that doesn't mean we should ignore their suffering. Helping others in their time of need is the right thing to do. Not to mention it might pay off the next time we need a hand. Anyway, if push comes to shove, most of us are still armed.

[Dairine frowns] Don't degrade yourself like that, Kat. You've got plenty of reasons to be paranoid. Most people would be in your situation. You just need to figure out how to keep the fear from blinding you to other possibilities.

[Katniss looked at the words on the journal, and sighed again. Honestly, what could she say? They did need help. The others were armed.] Just be careful.

Maybe in your world, but Paradisa is different. I certainly don't think everyone here is gaming to attack a teenager, if you don't mind the expression. And there are other places in the universe where no one would.

I wouldn't go that far. See, I've met someone born with a target on his back before, and he acts rather differently than you do. He's had to deal with people trying to kill his family and him since the day he was born. I admit I don't know much about your childhood, but I don't think the Capital was explicitly targeting you at that point.
