I ended up staying a few extra days after most of our party had left, despite the fact that the place we went to brought up some bad memories for me. I am finding myself itching to do more, to go to more places... even though I realize that's not feasible. I like feeling like I am useful. [He pauses before quickly adding:] Not like I think I am useless by a long shot in Paradisa, of course, but I sometimes do not feel like I am doing enough.

Does anybody else have this feeling?

Exactly. I know that my skills as a doctor are valuable, but I am idle much of the time when I would not be back home.

It seems to me that there is a great deal of waiting done here.

Far too much. Waiting for things to happen and not knowing if they are good or bad.

I find the best way to work past that feeling is by putting myself out there. That way even if I'm still not being as useful as I'd like, at least I have a distraction.

All the time. I am sort of getting tired of waiting. I have a ton of really cool powers.. but there's not really much useful I can do with them.

I wish we could do more- but I am assuming there is a reason we do not go beyond the Dead Zone very often.

My skills as a doctor do come in handy here sometimes, but the rest of the time...

God, yes. Not here so much. Yet. But maybe that will kick in eventually.

Here, it seems like activity only happens in short bursts. Of course, life here is unpredictable at best, but most of the time, the things the castle does are pretty harmless.

Well, I'm pretty used to unpredictable, but no so much used to the being in one place for so long. Even when I was traveling the best I could do was get some kind of desk or retail job. Here I guess I could do something more permanent, but I'm not sure what.

Well, do you have any sort of skills to offer? I'm always needed no matter if I travel or stay in one place, since people are always getting sick and injured, but I know that not everyone works that way.

I want to stay longer, but I guess there is a reason we do not go traveling very often.

... Without River, I've struggled to find a purpose, and this has only served as a reminder that I have yet to find one.
