[blue_sniper]

[Bucky's not in the ballroom with everybody else, or whoever decided to go to the ballroom. He's actually sitting in the lobby, with a bunch of candles around him. There's a book of matches next to him, too, since there seems to be a magical draft in here. Thanks, Castle. There also seems to be a wished-up bottle of the worst tasting whiskey in the world and a shot glass.]

Hey, are all of you guys all right? You aren't stuck anywhere, are you? If you want some company [or to keep him company] I'm in the lobby. Can't miss me. There's a ton of candles.

(OOC: You probably know if you're Bucky's friend or not. This is also open to anybody who wants to walk by and see him there.)

Drinking a bit and sitting around a bunch of candles. Obviously. [He shifts over if Conan wants to sit or stand in the candle circle.] It's pretty crowded and loud in that ballroom.

[modernholmes]

Exactly why I'm avoiding it. [Conan drops down to the floor and turns off the light in his watch to save the battery.]

[blue_sniper]

[Bucky looks over at Conan, playing with his empty shotglass.] Look, I'm sorry about the last time we talked. I wasn't exactly in the best mood. You didn't deserve to get interrogated like that about something you probably didn't even know about.

[modernholmes]

I wasn't bothered.

[blue_sniper]

[Bucky raises an eyebrow.] You weren't?

[modernholmes]

Of course not.

[blue_sniper]

Huh. ...You really aren't a kid, are you? Not that I'm asking that you tell me. I know that you probably don't want to, and it's nothing personal.

[He pours himself another shot.] So, what are you doing down here? Other than sitting with me because I have all the candles and the ballroom's too crowded.

[modernholmes]

[Great. Someone else suspicious. Haibara would be furious. Still, he had no intentionof revealing the truth unless he had no other choice.]

I'm sure I don't know what you are talking about.

[He shrugs.] Exploring.

[blue_sniper]

Exactly. I don't ask, you don't tell.

Exploring this place in the dark? Do you have a death wish?

[modernholmes]

I have a light with me. [Along with the night vision setting on his glasses, nit that he intended to reveal that little trick.]

[blue_sniper]

A tiny light. And I keep hearing...things in the darkness. I think it's the Castle messing with us. Still, there might be something out there. [He doesn't want to put it past this place.]

[modernholmes]

There are sounds, but that is it. I would guess this is only an attmept to scare us.

[blue_sniper]

Well, it's working with me. Hence the whiskey and all the candles. Trying to calm my nerves.

[modernholmes]

That seems like a bad combination. Wouldn't it be better to see for yourself?

[blue_sniper]

See for myself? Like...walk around in the dark?

[modernholmes]

It's better to know for yourself, isn't it?

[blue_sniper]

Maybe I don't want to know what's out there. Or what I think is out there. I have a pretty good imagination.

Why, do you want to know what's out there?

[modernholmes]

I'm a detective. I only believe in what I can prove.

[blue_sniper]

Good point. Though, not all of us can be detectives and want to know if what they're hearing in the dark is real or not. Most people would rather ignore it and hope it goes away.

[modernholmes]

I can't understand that kind of thinking at all.

[blue_sniper]

Neither do I. I don't want to ignore it, but then again, I don't want to go out and see it either. I'm fine sitting right here.

[modernholmes]

I've been looking for several hours. There is nothing in the castle that is not normally here.

[blue_sniper]

Then it's just the Castle messing with us. [He snorts.] Figures.

[modernholmes]

It seems likely.
