[Emma wakes up on a floor, and as soon as her eyes flutter open, she pulls herself up and brushes herself off.]

Henry, where are--? [Her shout is interrupted by the fact that her foot had hit a book. At her feet she notices a journal, so she picks it up. Maybe it's has information about where Henry is.]

What the hell is this? All the pages are blank. [Her words appear on the page, though she'd been talking to herself.]

A magic book. Cute. Really. [This isn't her first experience with one of those. She lets out a loud sigh.]

Who are you? Where are you, what do you want, and where is Henry? I don't have time for this. [Her tone is more demanding and urgent in those questions. Henry had been missing, and she needs to find him. Now.]

[She nods. It's never been too foreign to her, either.] I've only been here a couple of months so I can't say I know for certain, but if anyone around here does have answers like that, they're not talking. No one really seems to know what it is or why we've all been brought here, but there are plenty of people determined to find out.

I'm still more of a new person here, so I'll defer to your statements there. [However, the idea of digging around for information is something Emma thinks she will take part in.] Though I will say well kept secrets are the most fun to try find out. Challenge accepted, I suppose -- I mean, while I'm here...you know, might as well.

Yeah. From what we can tell, if you go back, you don't remember this place and you simply go back exactly to the point you came from. I'm personally not so much a fan of that idea - I'd much rather stay, or at least go back on my own terms, ya know?

The whole memory-zapping aspect of that sounds a little creepy too. So, I'm with you there - I'd rather be here than screwed with any more. Plus, now that I know my son is here, leaving is the last thing I want to do.

Has this happened to everyone here? And my kid is Henry - he seems to be pretty popular around here, but that's not much of a surprise to me. [she means that as a compliment to him, obviously.]

Who knows? Probably not everyone... first time for everything right?

[Recognition flickers across her face.]

Ah, yeah. I haven't personally met him but I've heard plenty about him from August. He sounds like a great kid. You must be from Storybrooke, too, then?

Maybe it's some sort of weird glitch. But yeah, first time for everything. [she's also not surprised at how much other people have heard about him from August.] I worked in Boston for a while, but yeah, Stroybrooke is more of a home than there I guess, so yes. [the question of what is "home" for Emma is a hard one for her to answer, since she spent so much of her life going from place to place.]
