Yet, I can't find it anywhere. [He has his wand, broomstick and most of what he had at Grimmuald Place, yet the Cloak had vanished. He was worried.]

If anyone sees it anywhere, please can you get it back to me? It's very valuable, as it once belonged to my late father. I just really hope this isn't anything to do with the "loss" that Hermione told me about, when I got here. [Harry felt almost naked without it. Vulnerable. He still had the Marauder's Map, which was something.]

I'm not trying to depress you further, I was just curious is all. I come from a world where an insanely powerful, murdering wizard is out for my blood. If I don't stop him, then it will be the end of my world as I know it. [So yeah.]
