[ Its a great deal of splashing at first. ]
Ryner!
[ Anyone out by the pond will hear that frustrated shout, and see a young man struggling to get to the edge of the pond. Either he can't swim terribly well, or he's weighed down by something, because his head keeps going under once in a while. ]
Lucile may have overlooked the book-assassination attempt, but a pond poses real danger, I don't want-
[ Don't want him to kill you. Don't want you to die-
Whatever the young man had been about to continue saying is cut off with the sound of a lot of wet cloth and a body flopping down. By the splash marks, Sion had made it next to the journal. ]
.... This isn't any of my courtyards. .... And what is that pink thing....?
[ Said 'pink thing' is the giant squid, which is waving lazily at him. ]
Ryner!

The pink thing is a squid. Are you all right?
no subject
... Squids come in pink?
[ His smile is a little uneasy, but still rather like a smile one would expect from a sweet kid. Well, late teen or young adult. Sion is clearly not a child. ]
I'm confused, but alive, which falls under 'all right'. ... I think.

[She smiles back and writes again.]
In Paradisa they do. Anything's possible here.
[She shoots the pond a look as if she wishes sometimes that ANYTHING WERE NOT possible here... Then as an afterthought.]
I'm Chell

[ Sion repeats that, looking about. Well, there was a distinct lack of crystal formations, or odd cliff structures. ]
That... is north on Menoris? Center of the continent, maybe?
[ It clearly isn't Roland, otherwise Lucile would be here. ]
Sion.

[She shakes her head at the names he mentioned, looking very very confused, but smiled at him when he gave her his name before writing.]
This is no place on your world, or mine.

[ Not the most intelligent sounding reply there, but this means a great deal of things.
Like a headache incoming. ]
... Just a moment.
[ Sion sits upright, putting his elbows on his knees and covering his face while he thought.
Not your world, or mine. That implies multiple worlds in the first place. Well, Asruld more or less confirmed that, even if Sion wasn't quite sure how, but this would be more worlds that weren't ... connected. This... he wasn't sure how to take.
Might as well go with something simple, yet oh-so important. He lifts his head after a moment. ]
I'm surprised we're understanding each other, in that case. Are humans really everywhere?
no subject
[She grins.]
Not everywhere, I suppose.
[She writes.]
But there are quite a few here, as well as people who... aren't.
[She glances down, noticing HIS journal on the ground and writes]
Here... You'll need this.
[And then she picks it up, offering it.]

[ Hopefully she doesn't mean people like the Hero. One of those is more than enough.
Oh. Another book! He takes it, noting its a bit wet - oops - and that definitely is his name on it. ]
For more than writing to peop-
[ Oh. That sure is what he just said appearing. Ah, those moments when he would like Ryner here to double check things. As it is, Sion is turning the book this way and that, flipping through pages.
If this is a Hero Relic, he likes it already. ]
... I see. Very important to have.

[She's still writing.]
Very. It allows you to communicate with others, in both speech and writing. It also allows you to make filters to them. For example... like this.
Filtered to Sion
Hello! Only you and I can see this. End filter
See?

action forever
[Wade runs over, looking rather concerned.]
Are you alright? I know it's weirdly warm today but the pond probably isn't the best place for cooling down.
action forever!
[ Sion isn't aware about weirdly either way for temperature, so he blinks about. He'll just push himself up again and blink at her. Whoever she is, she looks oddly like Keifer. Well, without the red eyes. ]
It wasn't on purpose, but I'm fine. If... disoriented?
[ He's wearing way to much clothing to have planned to swim in the pond. ]
no subject
What happened?
no subject
[ Or had he already been waking up? It was a bit odd, when he tried to think about it. Because it definitely felt both like he'd been asleep and been aware...
He takes it, and its with a great deal of sodden cloth noises that he gets to his feet. Sorry for the soggy hand, the odd gloves he wears aren't any better off. ]
And then I was in the pond.
no subject
[She glances at his clothing curiously, wondering where this guy might be from. It doesn't seem familiar]
no subject
[ Sion blinks uncertainly, a small smile forming. He's a bit unsure about that. ]
No people to carry you out needed?
[ Which is clearly how these sorts of things normally happen. ]
no subject
The castle likes to move people around sometimes, I've noticed. And I'm pretty sure you're not the first person it's dumped into the pond since I've been here.
no subject
[ Sion may be confirming that entirely new idea.
He stares at it for a long moment. Well. Its definitely not his castle. ]
... The castle does things? Not someone making it look like its the castle?
[ Is the Castle a giant Hero Relic- ]

Action
Are you all right? Typically, people practise their breaststroke in the swimming pool, inside.
Action
[ The man's words confuse him just as much as his clothing. Sion accepts the help, however uncomfortable his soaked gloves are in that grasp. ]
... Swimming pool?
[ Sorry, Sion's having trouble imagining a place to swim that isn't a river or an ocean. ]
Action all the way
...Yes. You know? Lengths? Hmm. Maybe you don't know. [In looking at the man the Doctor's eyes narrow slightly. Something is strange about him.]
Let me guess. Just arrived?
All the Action
Sion smiles - and it really looks like the smile of a good kid. If just a confused one. ]
I don't recognize where I am, so I suppose I must have.
no subject
I can think of better ways to arrive and I'm sorry that you have at all. I know how that sounds but all will become clear. First I suggest you find some dry clothes, they'll be in your room I should think.
I'm the Doctor. Who are you?
no subject
[ It doesn't look like his castle, and it doesn't look like any inn he's ever seen. That, and if it was an inn, he didn't check in! ]
Sion. Ah- how do I have a room?
no subject
Sion. [His usual greetings and manners are being sidelined by what he can sense of the man, young and old, but the sensation is off, confusing. While its not unheard of and wouldn't be the first the Doctor has come across or sensed, it is his first iteration of this type.] I can help you find your room, if you like, Sion.
no subject
That would be very kind of you. Any idea of where to start, Doctor?
