[Sheena, like a few others, had gone to the Library to check things out about Florence once she had returned to the castle. She had hoped that it hadn't been a real place, just something the castle had imagined on its own.

But it hadn't.

With a sigh, she opens the journal, and those listening will here a soft bouncing sound with an occasional "Spoink" thrown in.]

Why do people use religions as an excuse to do horrible things to people? Aren't they supposed to make people feel better? And wouldn't it be better to accept the differences between them, since they all seem similar to begin with?

[She's silent a moment, the bouncing and "Spoink"-ing growing louder.]

Oh yeah! This has nothing to do with everything else, but an animal that I'm guessing is one of those Pokemon appeared in my room. [With a note saying "From Chie", but Sheena's keeping her feelings about that aside for the moment.]

Does anyone know how to take care of one of these? Like what they eat? It's got a pig's head, a spring on the bottom, and I guess--from what it's saying--it's a "Spoink".

And has anyone seen a Vulpix named Curry? She disappeared about the same time Lloyd and Zelos went home, and I thought she had run away at first, but when she didn't come back and no one mentioned finding her, I'm hoping she had been given to someone.

I have been feeding Agni like I would a small dog and he seems to do find. I would think if you fed it like you might whatever animal it resembles it will do all right.

Does that sound like a good idea to you?

[Some very happy-sounding "Spoinks" come over the journal before she turns back.]

Well, he seems to like the idea, but what do pigs eat?

Well, slop is the usual on the farms, but considering he's small - probably vegetables, like you might feed any plant-eating animal pet. Add in some fruit now and then. That should be fine.

That sounds like the way to go, Uncle. But, do I have to serve it to him like slop?

[And does she have to have a mud pen for him?]

Oh, no I don't think so. I think just serving it in a bowl will do all right.

[The "spoink"-ing grows louder and she laughs as he joins her wherever she's sitting.]

I think he likes that idea, but I don't think he can bend over too far. Maybe a small table for you, huh?

[Which means she'll do it for the other animals, too. No need for jealousy.]

Maybe it's like breathing? People can hold their breath for a time, but they have to breathe or they die.

Maybe the bouncing is like that?

[There's no sign of the panic she's feeling right now. At least she hopes so. But, wouldn't he know what's best?]

Maybe! I mean, if anyone there knows healing magic... why wouldn't it work on a pig thing?

Some people are just cruel and the rest are idiotic sheep. They follow some rule in an ancient book cos they can't think for themselves. Not saying they're all bad but a lot are. That's why I don't care about religion at all. They can do whatever they wish as long as they leave me out of it.

Well, I know about people being cruel, but what rule could possibly excuse what happened in that city?

Don't people fight against them to change them?

Cos religious folks believe that the rules in the Bible is cut in stone. They don't think you can or should change them or God will destroy the world. That's why I decided a long time ago that they're stupid and that you better ignore them.

[Sheena's quiet for a long time before she answers.]

I don't think a religion's stupid, but it should be able to change when times change. And if it can't change itself, it should be all right for others to speak up against it without fear of dying.

What good is a religion where people have to die if they don't or do follow the rules?

That's all right and goody but lots of religious people refuses to listen. They're not all bad but the bad ones hurt a lot of people because of their own stupid ideas.

I agree that the ideas aren't right, but sometimes people are afraid and not sure how to deal with things.

Still, no one should be persecuted for being different or having different ideas.

Or for disagreeing.

[She has a feeling from the way he's speaking that he's been through the last one a few times.]
