[Sheena, like a few others, had gone to the Library to check things out about Florence once she had returned to the castle. She had hoped that it hadn't been a real place, just something the castle had imagined on its own.

But it hadn't.

With a sigh, she opens the journal, and those listening will here a soft bouncing sound with an occasional "Spoink" thrown in.]

Why do people use religions as an excuse to do horrible things to people? Aren't they supposed to make people feel better? And wouldn't it be better to accept the differences between them, since they all seem similar to begin with?

[She's silent a moment, the bouncing and "Spoink"-ing growing louder.]

Oh yeah! This has nothing to do with everything else, but an animal that I'm guessing is one of those Pokemon appeared in my room. [With a note saying "From Chie", but Sheena's keeping her feelings about that aside for the moment.]

Does anyone know how to take care of one of these? Like what they eat? It's got a pig's head, a spring on the bottom, and I guess--from what it's saying--it's a "Spoink".

And has anyone seen a Vulpix named Curry? She disappeared about the same time Lloyd and Zelos went home, and I thought she had run away at first, but when she didn't come back and no one mentioned finding her, I'm hoping she had been given to someone.

Well, I know about people being cruel, but what rule could possibly excuse what happened in that city?

Cos religious folks believe that the rules in the Bible is cut in stone. They don't think you can or should change them or God will destroy the world. That's why I decided a long time ago that they're stupid and that you better ignore them.

I don't think a religion's stupid, but it should be able to change when times change. And if it can't change itself, it should be all right for others to speak up against it without fear of dying.

What good is a religion where people have to die if they don't or do follow the rules?

That's all right and goody but lots of religious people refuses to listen. They're not all bad but the bad ones hurt a lot of people because of their own stupid ideas.

I agree that the ideas aren't right, but sometimes people are afraid and not sure how to deal with things.

Still, no one should be persecuted for being different or having different ideas.

Or for disagreeing.

[She has a feeling from the way he's speaking that he's been through the last one a few times.]

Yeah, you would think that's how things should work. But it isn't, not really. I just doesn't care about religion, never had. I don't get why people think praying would ever help or feel the need to follow some ancient rules in a dusty old book.

Still, in their ignorance they do hurt people. Even though they're supposed to love everybody.

For some people, religion is a way to connect with who they are and where they come from--their parents, their grandparents, all of their ancestors. And praying helps them find that center and any peace they feel they need at any given time.

And as for the rules? Why are there rules for anything? To give something structure and a sense of order. And that just doesn't apply to religion, either.

But you're right, there are some people who do break away from that, using their own interpretation of things. But, I'm not talking about misunderstandings--everyone makes mistakes. I'm talking about people deliberately using religion against others like a weapon.

Whatever. If I need to connect to my parents I'll just head to the pub where me mum works or pick up the phone and call them. Sure praying can help to feel peace but itdoesn't change anything. When my boyfriend got paralyzed no praying in the world could cure him.

Fine, rules which makes sure peiole don't kill each other is good but when they start dictating how you must live your life, that's when I get an issue with them. Also rules made by a goverment can change while relgious people doesn't want to change theirs because they're given by some god... 4000 years ago.

In my world people use relgion in that way. They start wars over different inteprentions and wants to discriminate towards people whom doesn't fit in.

Not everyone has parents they can connect to that easily, you know.

[He may hear a small, shocked sound at the phrase "4000 years".]

4000 years? What were the rules your god gave you? [Her tone is a strange mix of wanting and not wanting to know at the same time. Because, there can't be another world that required people to go on a journey to death, right?]

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. It seems people aren't allowed to live how they want or worship how they want in a lot of worlds.

I know. [As he said that there was something in his voice that hinted at that he had personal experience if it.]

How would I know? I don't care enough about religion to know them by heart. It's his stupid to me. Even more stupid is that some people base their opinions on other people on it.

It's sad really.

Religion should just be a guideline for how a person should live, and so what if someone doesn't follow the same beliefs? That doesn't mean they're bad. Just different.

I live my life fine without any religious guidelines. I have to agree though with you about respecting other people for their beliefs. It shouldn't matter for people how others live their lives.

There are people on your world who don't think you should, right?

Yeah. They are not all bad but some of them wants things to be exactly as it is in their holy books. They work against everything new. It affects me in the way that I am gay and they think all gay people should be killed. So yeah that annoys me. But as I said, I don't care what they think. But it affect people like me in a bad way. Not everyone is strong enough to ignore them when they are finding out who they are. It made it difficult for me even and put more weight on stuff I went through. I am happy now though.

What the hell does you--or anyone else--being gay have to do with religion? Who you love is who you love. It shouldn't matter to anyone else but you!

[Having lived here for so long, she's learned various terms, though the idea has never been a strange one to her and falls neatly in her belief that people should be allowed to live the way they want.

She takes a deep breath to calm herself.]

It's cause it's against some old law in the holy book of the religion I "belong" to. Thankfully not everyone is that extreme but there's a lot of people whom are. They just hate gay people, divorce, strong women etc. some stupid old laws. They're idiots to me so I ignore them.

Yeah I am. The country I'm from is not ruled by religion but ordinary people with much better sense than those flaming religious idiots.

Trust me, there are quite a few here who are better than that. I've made quite a few good friends here. People I trust and can rely on.
