Equius: investigate strange decorations with unknown consequenses [Dictated/action]
[Equius had been strangely silent for the most part in the days following the return from Florence. To those that knew him, this was actually not that surprising, but to others, it might be odd to know that he's been spending so much time alone in his room. He's actually been very busy, working on something for a certain friend.
Sadly though, a few parts were still required. So, Equius rose from his seat and prepared to set out into the outside world.]
It has come to my attention that this holiday is about giving gifts. Is that correct?
[He still felt the need to ask, even though he had already been told. Wiping a few grease stains from his shirt, the troll went to his door and carefully opened it...
And came face to face with a sprig of mistletoe. stopped by confusion, Equius stared at the vegetation for a moment, glancing out into the hallway to see if anyone had done this. Strangely, he was beginning to feel... odd.]
Also... it would appear that we have an outbreak of vegetation in the castle.

It's called Christmas! The castle usually decorates itself with lots of greens and stuff. It's kind of like the human fursion of Twelfth Perigee's Eve.
dictated right back
[The fact that the humans had a holiday similar to the Trolls did not surprise Equius in the slightest It was probably less enjoyable though.]
What in the world would they need this much vegetation for?

[Really, all of this was already quite weird to Equius. These humans and their silly customs.
But apart from that, the troll was beginning to feel... strange.]
Ugh... is the vegetation supposed to bring strange feelings as well?
no subject
Equius you are not getting into catnip, are you?
no subject
No, Nepeta. I would never do something so ludicrous.
It is the vegetation around my door. I seem to be having some kind of... allergic reaction?
[Yeah, that's it.]
no subject
That's pawful! Do you want me to come clear it out fur you?
no subject
I shall be waiting in the doorway of my room for you, Nepeta.

[She says it jokingly but there's some truth behind it as well. It's his first winter in Paradisa, so who knows what it will throw at him? Better safe than sorry.
She'll be there in mere minutes.]

He eyes the plant hanging from his doorway. What was this abomination of a place planning now? After the Florence episode, he failed to think of any good things coming from this.
And the feeling was growing stronger. It felt like he... wanted to do something...? He wasn't sure yet.
...Maybe calling Nepeta here was a mistake.]

In fact, it's been above everyone's door. It was above her door, too, but she hadn't thought anything of it. She certainly hadn't felt any different, but maybe Equius was a special case.
She walks up to him rather casually and points to the mistletoe.]
That's it, right?
no subject
[He looked down at Nepeta. The feeling was still there, and becoming harder to ignore.]
Are you feeling alright? It is not affecting you, is it?
no subject
Yeah, it's above my door, too. But honestly, Equius, I feel...
[And that's when the mistletoe begins to work its magic on her. Her words trail off for a moment, and her expression softens. What was she saying?]
I feel purrfectly fine.
[Perfectly fine. And also reaching for Equius's hands.]

voice;
And the vegetation is mistle toe. I would say try and avoid it, but that's near impossible, so I simply say be prepared to kiss many random people for the next 25 days or so.
voice;
[He'll have to look into that.]
Mistletoe. Interesting... Wait, did you say...kiss?
Re: voice;
Yes. Anyone who gets stuck under the mistle toe will want to kiss the next person that comes by. And that other person will want to kiss you in turn. It's a prank the Castle plays around this time and sometimes on Valentine's Day.
voice;
How obscene! I will not put up with such absurd pranking from a... a building!
Re: voice;
Unfortunately, there is no real way around it unless you remain locked in your room for almost a month. Doable, but ill advised. So far, no one has ever been able to resist the mistle toe, only avoid it if they are careful.
voice;
[And fail, but that's beside the point.]
And I do not plan to fall victim to the castle's wriggler-ish jokes.
Re: voice;
You get used to them. They can be kind of fun, actually. I have met some of my good friends here through this little kissing prank.
voice;
Besides.... I do not wish to hurt anyone.
Re: voice;
Hurt someone? How would you hurt them?
voice;
I... am quite strong. Too strong.
Re: voice;
Oh, I think you do not give people enough credit, nor yourself. I am actually stronger than most of the humans here, but it works out fine.
[ Ashura was twice as strong physically as any of the humans, and magically he was a powerhouse with Fire. ]
voice;
[In fact, he's more than twice as strong. More like three times as strong.]
I have run into this problem... multiple times before. Any form of contact is... ill advised.
