I must say I am very pleased with the way the castle is celebrating this season called Christmas. I don't know much about it but I love all the colours and the present giving. Those sweets around the tree look so tasty too! [Yep. Bilbo is like a little kid right now.]

I've heard about this so called kissing plant too. Mistletoe? I've not heard of such a plant, as we don't have anything like that back home. I'm not one for kissing strangers though! It seems all rather....improper and rude to me. [He shrugs, as he looks down at the journal.]

Anyway, I am enjoying the festivities. I just hope nothing bad will come out of this, as I've learnt not to trust the castle and it's games. What does anyone else think of the decorations?

The decorations are tacky, and the castle pulls this thing out every Christmas, don't think it's anything too special. One year, it was doves, another, it was nutcrackers. Seriously, the mistletoe is practically ironic at this point.

It is? Well, I always appreciate a bit of colour and festivity during the winter months. It's nice for people to give presents to one another too. [Because Bilbo agreed that giving was better than taking.]

...Okay, presents can stay. Everything else can go. It's kind of grating, by this point.

I mean that it's too cheerful. Overbearingly so. Like everything is just shouting at you to be more happy when you don't want to be. It's annoying.

The decorations are nice. It really does feel like Christmas is coming. If I got any complaint it is that it's a bit too much of it. But it's change from cold stone walls I suppose.

We doesn't exactly got a choice though. It's the flamin' castle playing mind tricks on us. I don't mind kissing, just not kissing strangers and kissing in public that much.

Yes, it does. I don't fancy kissing anyone! I wouldn't. The castle can't force us to kiss other people, can it? [Because that's just wrong.]

Yeah it can. I've already kissed a few because of the castle forcing me with some kind of mind control.

I'm certain Elves have all sorts of devil plants like that where they live that they help thrive and cultivate.
