[You know what? It’s been a while since Galadriel mused idly into the journal. So have some elf thoughts.]
I trust that everyone has returned from the castles latest diversion more or less unharmed?
We should be grateful, I suppose, that things did not become worse than they were. Yet I cannot help but feel a little indignant at any being seeking to change me into something other than I am, even if it is only temporary. And it is all too easy to imagine such things as the beginning of something more. I wonder if we will not return one day to that town, only to find some who we had thought returned to their homes trapped there still, playing out their roles.
[And on that cheery note she will shut the journal.]
[Action]
[Thus far, Galadriel has done a wonderful job of avoiding December kisses. Oh, she’s had a few missteps here and there, but overall, she’s been spared the worst of it this year. Knowing what you were up against helps.
But, of course, her luck couldn’t last.
She intended to spend the day in town, running some errands. Unfortunately for her, that involves making her way through the castle, attempting to dodge sprigs of mistletoe and avoid any passersby.
At some point, disaster is bound to strike.]
[ooc: the action is open for kissing or just running into her in person, just give me some hint as to which you’d like]

At least Galadriel can get along with this one though. At least, by now, he's figured out that it's mistletoe he needs to avoid but with how frequently it's placed around the castle doorways, it's hard to avoid completely. And dulled eyes find it hard to spot at times.Which leads, unfortunately, to Legolas meeting Galadriel in a doorway he had thought was clear of the sprig.
Whoops.]
no subject
Legolas, you really must take care where you walk. [And then she starts to feel the magic kick in.] You have my apologies for this.
[And then she leans down to pull him into a kiss.]
no subject
Not this again, anything (anyone) but-
Oh. She's pulling him into a kiss. For him, it's awkward and he can't help but kiss back, hands moving to lightly touch her arms.]
no subject
All she needs is Oropher now and she'll have a matching set. When the magic finally breaks, she pulls away and steps back immediately, safely out of the range of the mistletoe (and back to a more respectable distance from the younger elf).]keywords are fitting

Action - Kisses later?
Good afternoon, Galadriel!
works for me!
Good afternoon, Dairine. [Her eyes flick to the bow and quiver] I did not realize that you were an archer.
no subject
[She runs her hand against the bow's engraving.]
Though I wouldn't go as far as to call myself an archer yet...

We must shoot together someday.

That's a... rather morbid though to have.

Am I correct in assuming that you have not been here long? [Because, while it may be a morbid thought, it's not an unreasonable one for anyone who has been here for a while.]

Morbid the thought may be, but it is not without reason.

action because it has been far to long and kissing
So he was walking swiftly through the halls, dressed in a long, split-legged tunic and dark black trousers with knee high boots. Normally he would prefer robes, but swift walking and probably a ride dictated the more sensible attire, though it was no less lavish than his usual.
He turned the corner, coming down the stairs, and he let out a sound of delight on recognizing a head of golden hair. ]
Galadriel!
[ It would be a perfect moment to see if she had enjoyed his gift of a small silver bracelet expertly cut to look like leaves woven into lace with pearls dotted here and there around its circumference. ]
yess, we will find a way to do this, despite the cautious elf
Re: yess, we will find a way to do this, despite the cautious elf
[ It was not hard to understand the gesture and her caution. He felt the same these days, though a particular instance had led to some rather... lovely nights. But best not to think of that in the lady's presence.
He came over, boots taping on the stone and leaned in to kiss her cheek gently in greeting. ]
I have been... well, surprisingly. New friends and things to keep myself busy. And yourself?

action (because kissing meetings. Always-)
The sense of someone moving has him stepping back, hopefully out of the way and thus not likely to have problems with the whole kissing thing. But that totally is mistletoe nearby what he thought was a safe spot.
Oops? ]

...Technically she hasn't even met her yet, but details.
Sugar flies up to greet her, waving as she goes.]
Hello! Merry Christmas!
no subject
Merry Christmas. [Is it Christmas? She can't remember when the exact day is. But she echoes the greeting anyway.]
no subject
Why thank you! [And with that, she moves to plant a little kiss on Galadriel's cheek. Galadriel might notice that there is no compelling magical urges, so this can't have been the mistletoe. How odd...]

It must be an amusing sight to see. A man peering around a doorway first, casting a wary glance upwards as he goes, and then carrying out a slide-step-dash through the door along the jamb. With a look of triumph (honestly, what is the plant going to do to him otherwise? Eat him? Right. Let's not answer that) he sets off again with a grin.
And then he comes to a surprised stop when he sees Galadriel. Oops. Waving 'hello' across to her, he at least has the decency to see the humour in his skulking.]
Er, hello, Lady Galadriel. Afternoon stroll? Lovely day for it.
no subject
Hello, Doctor. I was intending to make my way to town, but I won't deny that a stroll was among my reasons.
no subject
Yes, well, out and about, fresh air, a bracing winter breeze, can't go wrong with that now.
[With a scratch at his eyebrow, his smile turns more relaxed.] How have you been keeping? Good I hope. I had heard that you've been cooking, actually. [Is he teasing slightly there? Perhaps.]
