(There are drawings on the page - circles and diagrams that illustrate powerful spells. Tylendel has written runes under the drawings - the ones he recalls from memory, at least. He has even added the "Gate" spell, but it is mostly crossed out. That is a spell that holds far too many bad memories, though he can't help but wonder if it could be put to use in the castle.)
Has any Mage attempted Extraplanar Proxy in the castle? Or even on the grounds? I've managed Spontaneous Direct Manipulation and Artifice, but those are child's play.
(For him.)
The castle is so unpredictable that it would be nice to have more eyes everywhere.

I had been working on a theory back home, sort of, but it would need more than my abilities alone to complete, and I do not think the right spirits exist here to make it a reality...

(Magic is important to him, yet he is still unsure about it. He doesn't want to burden or endanger Vanyel with his fear.)
Re: written;
We could. No one else here has been able to use my version of magic, so perhaps with two of us, it might go differently...

Re: written;
Well, before we couldn't. It seems this place has given us a multitude of blessings.
Are you sure you are feeling up to it though, Tylendel? You should not push yourself to much. Confidence is as necessary as skill and power when working magic, you know that.

(Which might sound like flirting, so he adds:)
You give me confidence and a sense of calm.
Re: written;
Well, good, at least I don't make you worried. But all right, we can try this. It would be a good idea, though I admit I have doubts of its success...
written;
We won't know unless we try, right?
Re: written;
Very true. Can you show me your research on it? We will need to prepare the spells carefully, and probably need to summon several focus stones to help us.
written;
Is there a good place to attempt this? We will need an open window.
Re: written;
One of the towers, perhaps. I would suggest the castle roof, but it is a bit cold for that, I think.

Re: written;
It should be coming soon - warm weather, that is. I think it is only to cold because it is rather high.

Re: written;
Possible. I am sure if we meld out magic together, neither of us will drain to quickly.
[ Always a worry for Vanyel since he did not have a node to draw on here. ]

Re: written;
Chances are you would run out before me, love. I could see if one of the other wizards has some sort of charm we can use instead.
written;
(In other words, yes. Get the charm.)
Re: written;
I know you would, but perhaps best to avoid that scenario all together, don't you think?

Forgiveness, my love. I am an old man now, remember?

I think my wizardry is a very different kind of magic. What do those do?

(He wonders how much he should reveal. He doesn't want someone haring off and doing magic they can't control.)
Useful things mostly.

I deal with dangerous wizardry on a near daily basis. I can handle it.
