[ Good afternoon, Paradisa. Today, you might hear yourselves a bit of musical rendition.

There would be a few tones of someone whistling, and a few seconds after it finished, a bird's sweet little trill followed in the same tones. This would repeat until they had completed a song that bore some resemblance to a children's cantrip, and a clap of hands. ]

Very good! Oh, I have missed your singing voice!

[ There is a little chirp, followed by two different barks, and that seemed the signal for their to be quite a bit of fussing, moving noises, and after a bright chirping, quiet.

The quiet was caused by Ashura heading out and towards the gardens so that Bacon and Agni could come and play, and on his shoulder, perched and snuggling up to the fur of his robe, was a beautiful green, yellow, and blue bird. It chirped and twittered, repeating the musical rendition from earlier, Ashura every now and then adding his own whistle to it as he followed his playing pets. ]

More animals?

Oh, just the one. A little bird from my world. They used to sing outside of my chambers. I have not heard them in quite a long time...

[He could, but he anticipated it for his earlier, if not mostly friendly, mocking]

It is just the three - Agni, Bacon, and now this little one. It's hardly a menagerie, Felix. And the newest addition is such a lovely singer, don't you think?

I think that's how most menagerie's start.

[He lets out a slight huff] Oh, I suppose.

_{[ There's a little trill, because Ashura had rubbed the little bird's
belly. ]}

There, you see? It was not so hard to admit you enjoyed one of my animals, now was it?

Easier, given that there's little chance of it waking me up in the middle of the night. [Not no chance, but it's best not to hope]

You thought the same things of Agni and of your own Pokemon, yet we sleep well through the night.

But they do not sing.

But they bark and have magical powers such as fire and psychic ability. A fair bit more irksome than signing, don't you think?

In different ways.

And yet you never said you hated them, not a once.

Saints and powers. I don't hate them.

Oh, you don't? And here I thought you wanted me to kick them out.

his new pet. ]}

[He doesn't have time for this. This argument is silly, and it's really only because he'd like to justify the extra peace and quiet he has to himself now. Which he'll treat himself to now, by closing the journal.]
