[The voice that comes through the journal is distracted and a bit muffled; someone's journal opened at an inconvenient time.]

... heels, really? How does anybody walk in these damn things? And they're seriously impractical for cleaning...

[There's a grunting noise as Castle strains.]

And I can't get them off. Perfect.

[He gives a sigh of exhasperation, then notices his journal open and almost shuts it; however, he decides to ask for advice instead.]

So, Castle Wonderful, got a question. Anybody got advice on how to walk in high heels?

[Kate didn't notice anything out of the ordinary at first as she approaches from behind. At the first grunt, she glances over at him and looks away. Then she slowly turns back, her mouth hanging open.]

Uh, Castle?

Ah... ... well. Guess it was time for me to have a temporary loss.

Oh, so this is not some new kink you've picked up?

[Castle sighs and moves toward Kate, leaning in for a kiss.]

What, you're into maid outfits? Color me shocked.

Well, I kinda thought I'd be the one in the maid outfit, but I'm flexible.

Oh, I believe I had to walk in those once when the Castle turned me into a woman. They were rather uncomfortable.

["Help, I'm stuck in high heels" is such a mundane call for help after three years here. Alex doesn't even look up from her magazine.]

As Effie once told me - it's in the movement of the hips. Move your hips while you're walking. Try concentrating on making your center of gravity lower.

[Castle decides to take the bait and rises, striking a pose with one hand on his hip, the other arm held out.]

Should I do a little runway walk for you, perhaps?

[There's a pause as Castle tries her advice.]

A little better- but now I feel like a fashion model.

Or at least sensible shoes. I guess she's used to it, but still- she's got many talents, and chasing down criminals in high heels is an admirable one, to me.

Not yet, but I'm sure my girlfriend will once she stops laughing. I'm, uh. I'm in a maid costume. Except it comes with a mask, too, so apparently I'm a maid with a secret identity to keep.
