So, a few people have warned me from wishing for too much from the castle, but nobody's said anything too specific about what the consequences are.

Is it just a superstition not to wish for too much or is there something else?

Not that I exactly plan on wishing for something every day or something like that. I'm pretty okay with earning things on my own. Speaking of which, do people work around here? Or is it just the people in the town and the farmers out in the field? Just curious because a job might help break up some of the monotony.

The castle likes to be an asshole about that kind of thing. It'll basically slap you with another loss, the bigger the wish the worse and longer the loss.

All the more reason not to risk it. Keep the wishes simple and infrequent.

I have seen a few speaking as if there was a cost to wishes but, not having tried wishing for much myself I have seen no ill effects from it. Those who have been here longer may know better of course, but maybe if wishing were done only sparingly the effects would be less?

I'm hoping so. It'd make the most sense and be the most fair, but I know places like this aren't always fair.

Not so much for superstition, but rather a bit of common sense I should think.

What type of things have you been wishing for, miss?

Furnishings for my room mostly. But not a ton of things.

The problem is that the consequences vary person to person. It can be any myriad of things from having to sing everything to being turned into a animal to name a few.

And you can work if you like - there's never been any rule against it. A friend of mine runs a pie and sweets shop in town - he's quite good at it, but I am sure there are others you could look into.

What, what? Really? I've already made tons of wishes! It would have been nice if someone said something before-- Superstition or not.

I'm used to the hand that tries to feed you being the one that slaps you across the face so I asked around. Honestly, I wouldn't have thought to ask otherwise.

I'm sure you'll be okay though. People keep telling me it doesn't seem to matter if you wish a lot or a little. Something's bound to happen eventually.

I've only heard that wishing leads to a loss. Not to what extent. Seems like even if you wish for very little or nothing at all the Castle still hits you with a loss.

Guess someone in town can hire you. I tried to get a work here in the Castle but with my permanent loss that ain't happening.
