So, a few people have warned me from wishing for too much from the castle, but nobody's said anything too specific about what the consequences are.

Is it just a superstition not to wish for too much or is there something else?

Not that I exactly plan on wishing for something every day or something like that. I'm pretty okay with earning things on my own. Speaking of which, do people work around here? Or is it just the people in the town and the farmers out in the field? Just curious because a job might help break up some of the monotony.

I have a favor to ask. It's cool if you say no though. You don't owe me anything, obviously. I'm just not sure if I trust anybody else with this right now.

Yes, either by the Castle's wish or going out into the Dead Zone. Those we never hear from again - at least, not yet.

Places where no magic and no advanced technology works, and sometimes monsters live. It is... beyond Castle influence. Some people have gone there to escape it, and as far as I know, they disappear and do not come back.

Some people just... do not want to be here anymore. So they make that choice, and it is theirs to make.

Perhaps, but they just cannot take the Castle and its games, or they have lost loved ones. I cannot say which of us is the weaker or less extreme - staying here, or going there. All I know is that so far none have returned.

Perhaps. I think for them it is a relief. You don't remember your time here when you go back, or so I have been led to believe.
