Considering everything that's been going on, I figured it's long past time I tried to get your attention. Especially since last I checked, Church hadn't heard from you in a while. What is your status?

I know your name plate is still here from my rounds, at least. So you should still be present somewhere. And I have a feeling York would kick my ass if he knew I left things be this long.

[Wash pauses at that. Not often he gets stopped while doing this, at any rate.] Not really. I'm just doing a check of nameplates to update my records.

How do you keep your records? (This actually makes him curious.) You know everyone's name who is currently in the castle?

The armor can store data.

He's never going to truly be gone of contained, if the castle gets involved. It gave me a nice lesson in that a while back. Containment isn't going to hold if it can cause chaos either.

I don't usually call him that when I talk to him. He can't see this, Tex.

Yeah well I can take him, and me out of the equation. Omega isn't going to fuck up anymore lives. I won't let it happen again. He could have gone gunning for you too Wash, I can't take that kind of chance.

I don't care if he can see it or not, just.. just think of him as Church. Because just seeing him differently means you'll treat him differently. This might be the one shot he gets at a normal life here.

You don't need to protect me from that. I've already seen what Omega is capable of doing. I don't think he on his own could be any worse than being an AI stuck in the Meta because of a loss.

I'd never treat him differently. Besides, he's too stubborn to listen even if I had.

I need to protect everyone from that! You know what Omega was like, when he was paired with me it made him worse..or better. Whatever way you look at it.

It's just...Look here he can be who he was supposed to think he was. He could be happy and after everything he deserves that.

I'm letting him be that way, and even if I didn't, every other human here doesn't know or wouldn't care if they did. It's not worth trying to show him the truth.
