Well met, Shinichi Kudo. I am Galadriel. And my statement still stands; I do not think your parents may be reasonably blamed for this.

Why not? They're always doing stupid challenges and taking me along on surprise vacations when I'm asleep.

But if it is really Conan, this is the first time she's heard him mention his parents! What kind of responsible older sister type would she be if she didn't check up on this?]

Why does everyone keep calling me Conan? My name is Shinichi!

And this is probably one of their dumb pranks. They're always doing things like this.

[She knows that name. That's the guy that arrived when she was turned into a little kid last year! That loss and all the weirdness that happened is the whole reason she's been laying low this week!]

Shinichi Kudo?

[She thinks that was his name. But why does he sound like Conan?! Could it be the same Shinichi when he was younger?]

... Your parents would trap you in a castle with a book you can talk through? That doesn't sound like a normal prank!

[Seriously, what kind of world does he come from if this qualifies as a dumb prank? And this doesn't sound anything like that Shinichi guy from before... not that she remembers much other than getting really upset at him when they woke up together.]

Well, I don't know your parents, but I can probably help you find your way around. So you can figure out whatever it is.

[Playing along with the poor kid's delusions here. Hey, if it gets her to the bottom of the mystery of the teenage Shinichi and why this Shinichi sounds like Conan, she can play detective a bit, too.]
