 [There were a lot of people Conan did not want to talk to right now. He really did not want to talk to any of the people who had run into him during the last week. 

At least not until he had figured out how he was going to handle damage control. He had to figure out how to convince everyone that had run into young Shinichi Kudo that he was nothing more than a distant cousin to Conan Edogawa.

He hadn't figured out a convincing way of doing this yet.

And so today Conan seizes on the excuse of the snow to avoid everyone. He snatches up his snowboard and scribbles down a quick childish note in the journal.] 

I'm going to go play outside, okay?

[And with that he heads out the door. Feel free to run into him anywhere on the way out.]

I've remembered the last thirteen years, if that's what you mean.

Yeah. I thought you'd lost your memories of the castle until I saw you express confuson at being called Conan.

I think I thought that I was really seven.

[forsometimenow]

You certainly looked it, too. Your personality was about the same, though.

[deductiongeek]

Of course it was. I already knew what I wanted to be when I was seven.

[forsometimenow]

I figured. And you were already well on your way- you wanted to try and take your journal apart to see how it worked, and...

[There's a pause.]

I'm glad you're back to normal.

[deductiongeek]

Maybe I should try that anyway. The results might be interesting.

[forsometimenow]

You know, I'm surprised I haven't heard of anybody trying it before.

[deductiongeek]

It is strange. Although its possible that it happened before I arrived here.

[forsometimenow]

Yeah- and like so many things, the knowledge just got lost. I'd say try and look it up in some old journals, but there's a LOT of history to go through.

[Sugar is already outside, enjoying the snow. She can't make any in this human form so she has to enjoy what's already there. Conan might notice that she's much taller than usual. Like seriously taller. When the castle switched her situation with Rise's, that included age as well as species. However, that pink hair style is hard to miss.

The teen looks over at Conan and waves.]

Conan! [Suddenly she stops, remembering that other kid from before.] Oh wait, is that you Conan? Or are you Shinichi?

[Conan easily recognizes the girl as a version of the so-called fairy that kept bothering him.

This was bad. If she managed to make the connection....

He'd spoken to her enough times to know that she had no idea of how to keep secrets.]

You're thinking of my cousin. I'm Conan.

[He's giving her too much credit. As confusing as it might be, having two people who sound the same isn't quite enough for her to make the connection.]

Oh! Where is Shinichi then?

I don't know. Maybe he went home.

So soon? He just got here!

Shinichi never stays anywhere for long.

Aw... But you barely got to see each other...

[If she had family show up, that would make her so sad.]

[deductiongeek]

Its always been that way, so its okay.

[He just wanted this conversation to end.]

[sugarwaffo]

Oh, all right. [It still seems sad, but what can you do? Sugar changes the subject.]

Hey Conan, want to play?

[deductiongeek]

Pass. I was going to go read.

[sugarwaffo]

Aww... why not?! It'll be fun!

[deductiongeek]

Because I don't feel like playing right now.

[sugarwaffo]

But why?!

Because I have some other things I want to do.

What other things? [Maybe she can join in.]
