If this is to happen, I'll need to use this more frequently - at least until I can get something more secure.

The city will be the choice, I think. The chances of an altercation between the citizens and any seriously misanthropic future members may need to be dealt with, but there's a certain degree of safety out there: they wouldn't try anything among so many innocents. The schematics are almost done.

Now comes the important part.

It can, and it has. That's basically what happens out in the Dead Zone, or so I'm told.

I was under the impression that the Dead Zone nullifies everything, including the castle's magic. That seems like an independent force.

To me, it seems as though it's all connected. I wouldn't be surprised if it does that on purpose, just to keep up appearances.

If so, then there may be an even greater power that we are not aware of.

Suddenly those expeditions seem even more important.

I'm curious about a lot of things.

The expeditions are just one part of a larger equation: the one that can tell us more about the nature of Paradisa.

Everything. The residents, the town, all of it.

Every little scrap of information is important.

Yes, I've always thought that all this rallying up the residents to take action was an utter waste of time.

In the amount of time spent trying to get them to do something, a smaller and better equipped group could have done everything.

I've decided to do exactly that.

They may claim that, but beyond the expeditions, I doubt they've managed to do much. They're so focused on trying to play hero that they've shoved what's really important to the wayside.

Their... ethical inflexibility is holding them back. Preventing them from getting any real answers. They have no concept of sacrifice.

I think my limits mostly revolve around people and things that I personally care about.

What about the Patrol? You don't sound like a big fan, buy isn't protecting people their mission statement? You can leave your loved ones safety to them.
