[Bonnie has spent most of her morning in the castle kitchen baking cupcakes. It was a new hobby of hers and she was enjoying it a lot. She was currently waiting on her fifth batch to be cooked, the other batches all neatly set out and beautifully decorated. Before this, Bonnie would never have considered baking to be relaxing in the slightest and yet she felt at peace when she was in the kitchen.

There were around fifty cupcakes in total and the final batch would take it up to about sixty. Much too many for Bonnie to eat. After switching off the oven and taking out the last batch to cool, she cleaned her hands and opened her journal to announce:]

Free cupcakes! Come to the kitchen if you want one!

Great! How are you doing yourself, Nudge?

Pretty good! Getting used to being thirteen and everything. Which actually isn't so different from being twelve, but now I get to say that I'm a teenager.

[bonniewitch]

Yeah, you do get to say that. It won't really hit you after a while and then you'll feel like you're thirteen. I remember turning your age.

[blabs]

What did you do to celebrate?

[bonniewitch]

I had a big party with all of my friends during the day, then a sleepover later on with just a few people. My two best friends: Elena and Caroline. Elena is actually here in the castle.

[blabs]

That sounds fun! Kitty and I are gonna have a sleepover tomorrow, actually.

Is anyone else from your home here?

[bonniewitch]

There are others here from my home, yup. Last year there was more, but they left and went back home.

[blabs]

That must be so weird, having to see them come and go...

[bonniewitch]

It was weird and a bit difficult. But knowing that they're home and where they belong? Is comforting.

[blabs]

[ she takes a thoughtful bite. ]

You're right. I mean, my brother and sister were here like a few years ago, before I came, and I know it's probably for the best that they're home now.

[bonniewitch]

They'll be waiting for you when you do go home, Nudge. I don't think anyone really stays here forever.

[blabs]

I really... really hope not. Have you heard of those First Gens?

[bonniewitch]

No, I haven't heard of them before. Why, what happened with them?

[blabs]

I'm not sure. The whole story is really long and confusing. But basically they were here before us, and they were here a really really long time, and now they're out in the Dead Zone, and they're ~mad at the world~ and stuff.

[ she makes jazz hands at 'mad at the world' ]

[bonniewitch]

That sounds pretty serious. [although the jazz hands were cute.] I won't be going out to the Dead Zone anytime soon. Or anytime at all really.

[blabs]

[ she bites her cupcake a little sadly. ]

I wouldn't mind exploring out there, but since those First Gens are jerks and everything, it's not really safe. I went on the Libet expedition, and that was kinda bleeeehhh.

[bonniewitch]

Well, I wouldn't want you to get into any kind or trouble, Nudge. Maybe there's somewhere closer and a lot less dangerous to explore?

[blabs]

[ gently skipping over the fact that she likes a little trouble now and then. :x ]

I dunno, maybe. The forest is pretty cool. Have you ever been there?

[bonniewitch]

Nope, I haven't been there yet. I guess it wouldn't be too dangerous.

[blabs]

It's cool. Not in the winter, I guess it's too cold now. But it's pretty out there, and there's this really awesome tree.

[bonniewitch]

Okay, we can wait to maybe next month? I'm sure the weather will be a lot nicer then.

[blabs]

Hopefully! I love snow and everything, but I can't for spring.

[bonniewitch]

I love spring! And summer too. I bet you it's really beautiful here at that time.

Uh huh. It makes up for all the silly stuff Paradisa can pull sometimes.

Were you here last summer?

[bonniewitch]

I was actually. I arrived in July of last year but I didn't go outside of the castle much.

But it would definitely make up for the silly stuff.
